This Mic is great! I'm a wannabe streamer and I love how compact and easy it is to use. Just plug it into my USB Port (which I also bought at Best Buy), tap the top and it's ready to go. I've had a lot of compliments from my stream chat how clear it is to hear my voice and I love how it takes up no room on my desk. Plus it tilts so you can move it toward you and it picks up your voice with ease.

My husband bought this for me, and I absolutely love it! The pink color is beautiful, the microphone is the perfect size to put wherever on my desk, it picks up sound properly without picking up everything in the background, adjusts/tilts smoothly, the Razer app is easy to use. The cord is a decent length, just depends on your setup and where your ports are. The tap to mute function is wonderful with LED light indicator. Couldn't be happier about my pink siren microphone.

I needed a new microphone for zoom video chats and other reasons and this microphone was exactly what I needed. Got it on sale, so it wasn't anything expensive. Having a separate mute button is a great feature. Haven't found any issues so far.

++First Look++ Razer has always made quality products, I’ve used a variety of their other PC gaming accessories and always been impressed. The Seiren V3 Mini continues that tradition of quality, great accessories. Initial reaction was that this is way smaller than I had pictured. Second thought was that it feels very well built and sturdy. I love how the base allows you to tilt the mic in almost any direction. ++Setup++ Setup could not have been easier. It was almost plug and play. My experience might have been a little different since I already have Razer’s software suite to handle their accessories. I plug the mic in and was able to start using it immediately. ++Sound Quality++ From what I have been able to gather after using it in some gaming sessions over the last week is that I am coming in loud and clear to my groups. My buddies have said they can hear me loud and clear, so I have no complaints. ++Features++ It has a touch button on the top of the mic, and you can tell that it is muted with the small light near the bottom of the mic. I wish the light was on the top so that it would be easier to see if I am still muted, but it’s fine. Size is perfect. I have been trying to trim down the clutter on my desk and this was a nice addition. It is about half the size of my previous desk mic. The included cable, also quality, is easy to stow away. ++Overall++ This is a nice option for anyone looking for a quality mic, with great sound, a quick way to mute, and a small footprint. Sounds good, easy to setup and use, this is an easy recommendation for anyone wanting a good mic but save space on their desk.

Starting a video channel is never easy, so when you can get good items as good prices, you grab them. Well, this in one of the first "video" mic's I have gotten for this task. I own several Razer products, so I know this would be a good one. I was right. Although it is tiny... I mean small from what I was expecting, it works almost perfect. I will give you the highs and lows of this. Good: 1. lightweight 2. small 3. adjustable (small travel all around) 4. led lights up for on and mute (green and red) 5. USB-A to USB-C connection. so I can use just about any cable in if needed (but will use the one that came with it of course) 6. front and back pick-up patterns, so sides will not capture noises very easily. 7. can be used with or without Razer software. so plug and play is already in the mix, 8. can be assembled as a desktop mic or used in a tripod/mic boom arm with the 1/4 screw mount on the bottom 9. Works with OBS/SteamLabs perfectly and with that app settings you can get really creative. 10. when used as desktop mic, the foam on the bottom of the stand not only gives nice grip, it also absorbs slight vibrations you have have while typing or using items on the desk. 11. when "hot" the light will be green and when it is "muted", it will be red. Making it easy to know if you can talk or not. Bad: 1. height of mic when assembled, makes it have to insert the usb cable. it is straight up angle and cable gets slightly tweaked to one side after the fact. 2. Razer software although not needed, does not add anything to the experience. Simple settings like volume and gain are there, but nothing beyond that. Would hope for more bass, treble, effects, or pop filter would be nice to have as options. 3. it does tilt a little, but it needs more angles to be useful up close as a desktop mic. 4. you have to be right up on it for it to pick up your voice. So if you put it too far away and hit the gain, you just might peak out or get all kinds of background noise the bad things are subjective and not all will mind these things. I however, just breeze past them and love using this small mic. I have it with me almost all the time, in case inspiration hits. So go get it and let the world hear what you have to say.

Nicely built mic; poor software and adjustability.

This new mic entry from Razer is well on its way to joining the recent movement that has been happening in streamer and gamer-oriented audio hardware: ensuring audio simplicity and performance without the need for an audio engineering degree. More and more gamers are looking for simple plug and play setups that don’t break the bank but come with the reliability and notoriety of brands they trust, such as Razer. This Siren v3 Mini is well on its way to becoming a handy choice, it just needs more adjustment capability than is currently offered in the Razer Synapse 3 software. Allow me to elaborate. To start with praise, the build quality of this mini mic is superb. The base is surprisingly hefty and perfectly balanced. Paired with the proprietary Razer mic stalk that attaches to the base (not 1/4-20 UNC threads for camera/tripod mounts; boo-hiss), this is sturdy set up. There is even an articulating ball joint on the base that the mic attaches too for snuggly rotating that mic into different positions or angles based on your preference. The touch interface for the mic mute on and off works perfectly without any hesitations or glitches that I could perceive. The Razer Synapse software also allows you to add different double tap or triple tap functions, like mic volume up and down, to this touch sensitive region. There is a simple LED light that is green for a live mic and red for a muted mic. Perfectly simple and intuitive. What is unfortunate is that the simplicity of this mic and its software controls is also the weakness. This condenser mic needs more adjustability with factory software or hardware functions to be feasible for use for most gamers and streamers. This mic, even at 30% input volume, picks up EVERYTHING. The smallest key tap, the scroll of your mouse wheel, the feathering of a bird’s wing as it glides by outside of your window; my gosh, this mic captures it all. Ergo, although the audio quality is nice from my OBS recordings with this mic, there is simply too much extraneous noise capture happening in this plug and play format for me to recommend it to gamers. The product listing states that there is a “Supercardioid pickup pattern for greater voice isolation---allowing the mic to focus on your voice while surprising room noise”. Nope. That was not my experience at all. Where this mic surprisingly excelled and why I will be keeping it, is for instrument recording! I played some guitar songs on this mic and was astounded to find that it was actually not bad sounding at all! I am one of those weirdos that enjoys that natural sounds an instrument makes when handled to show up in my recordings: the clicks, thumps, squeals, and taps of interacting with the fretboard and strings of a guitar for example. This mic certainly excels at that! This review is resulting in a 4-star rating in summation. I know that there are programs and potential software updates that are going to allow this simple, elegant little mic to shine, it just isn’t here out of the box for the average consumer. Thanks for reading and I hope you found this review helpful!

I've noted this before, but I do love the look and consistency of Razer's brand and packaging along with the thought being put into their product presentation when unboxing. It is very industrial looking with just the right minimalist touch. Inside, you get the mic, a small stand off and the base and you attach all three together. You also get a USB-A to USB-C cord. I like that Razer has standardized on USB-C for everything on their end and USB-A on the computer end. Once everything is attached and plugged in if you don't have Synapse 3 software installed you will be prompted to install it if you so desire. For basic functionality you do not need the software and the mic as is will work as a standard USB mic immediately detected and installed by Windows. It will then show up in your device manager ready to go. If you do want access to the extra configurability offered, you will need Synapse 3 software. I like the all black look of the Seiren. It has just enough height and heft with a quality build and feel. Use is easy as you tap the top of the mic to enable and disable the mic and its status is shown with an indicator light showing either red (off) or green (on). The mic itself can move/pivot in 360 degrees when connected to the base for about 15-20 degrees in all directions. I'm not quite sure how that will help much but it's there. Being wired, you will be tethered to the device you're recording with but you can always use a different cable length for a bit of flexibility. I did some basic testing for voice recording (pod cast), distance test and open speaker streaming and headphone streaming. For up close voice recording, it is very good especially at this price point. You will need to be within 5-10 inches of the mic for best pic up for clarity and richness of voice. Moving farther away and you will start to quickly lose pickup, richness and mid/bass. This is a personal mic and not one you can sit among a small group and everyone talk and get equal levels of pickup, richness of tone or level. Anything beyond at best a foot away and you are best served with a lapel mic. The small size and detachable base does make it somewhat compatible with many universal boom arms. For streaming, it is very sensetive and not noise isolating for voice. It tends to pick up on a lot of ambient sound like slight movements, keyboard clicks, mouse noise even if it is hollow pick up because of some distance. If it is sitting on the desk while you type/play, remember the Seiren will be just about as close to you as your keyboard if not closer. For gaming with friends or streaming, a headset is mandatory unless you want everyone to get into your gaming sounds and environment while you try to speak. So where does that leave the Seiren? While it is a very good up close mic, it is best used for maybe single voice pod casting (unless you want to pass it around back and forth or have other mics wired in) or gaming with a good set of headphones and you want a bit better quality voice than many headsets can afford. You can always leave the channel open or tap the top as needed when speaking. The open/close channel light makes it very easy to know when you're hot or not. Having to lean down a bit to use it for better clarity if you're not using a boom arm of some sort would get tedious and tiring after a very short while especially for game streaming. If you have a use case for a decent quality standing mic for somewhat close up recording/use and want good, decent quality recordings, the Seiren is a well priced pick but be wary of limitations in other scenarios.

Having been using a standard headphones for voice calls, I always get complaints from the person I am speaking to about background noise. Even adjusting the background noise sensitivity of the voice calling app did not help that much. Because of this, I have been on the lookout for a microphone that not only is mini but simple enough to operate and does a good job in dampening the background noise. This Razer Seiren Mini Ultra-compact USB Microphone fits the bill. It’s simple plug-and-play design makes it painless to connect to my laptop which automatically recognizes the device as soon as I plugged it on and installed the necessary driver. Once it’s ready to use, I placed a call and based on feedback from the person on the other line, my voice was very clear and the background noise was somehow muted. Another feature I really like is the Tap-To-Mute sensor on top of the mic. I can easily and quickly mute myself whenever I need to and I no longer need to find the mute button on my screen. When the microphone is muted, the LED indicator shows a red light and green when it’s on, so you can easily see the mute status of the mic. In addition, its mini compact size does not take a lot of space on my desk and the color blends nicely with my set up. This is a simple device that I will surely enjoy using.
