Customers enjoy the lightweight design, ease of use, and vibrant RGB lighting of the Viper Wired Optical Gaming Mouse. Many appreciate its responsiveness, accurate sensor, and comfortable size for various hand sizes, along with the included cable and adjustable DPI settings. The ambidextrous design is also a plus for many users. However, some customers suggest that the side buttons and software could be improved.

The mouse is really light without having a honeycomb shell. Medium sized mouse. I use a hybrid fingertip and claw grip btw. 5g sensor is accurate enough for most casual/power users. For $40, it's the best mouse you can get. The wire is okay. Not the best but still reliable enough to not snag or anything. RGB is not an eye sore.

I had a Deathadder Elite, which I liked; however, the grips kept peeling off and I had to use my Geek Squad Protection Plan to get a new one. Looked for reviews for different equipment, and found this mouse. What I like most about the mouse are its weight, and feel in general. The mouse just feels...right...in my hand. I have large hands, and although smaller than the Deathadder Elite, it feels more agile. Add on top of that it weighs less than the Deathadder Elite (69g vs 105g), can anyone say..."Flick! Flick! Flick!"?!
I have this paired with a Razer Firefly mouse pad, which through Razer Synapse software, is pre-calibrated to track better. And, when enabled through Synapse, I find that it does!

I purchased this mouse to replace a Defective G502.
The design is simple (4 buttons and a scroll wheel)
The DPI is adjustable and has five settings that can be changed while gaming by using a push button (5th button) on the bottom of the mouse.
The mouse can be used by a right or left handed person. I also purchased the stealth mouse pad ($5.00) that is calibrated using Razor Central software. Excellent mouse for gaming (Fallout76).

Absolutely in love with this mouse! I have used a lot of products over the years, but so far no other mouse has worked so well! It has a very light, and easy to use feel, with a very fast and responsive system! The texture of the plastic isn’t cheap and doesn’t feel uncomfortable to hold! Even with small hands like mine, I’ve found this mouse has been suitable for all sizes in my family and is absolutely great for gaming! I love the array of colors I can set with my viper mouse and keyboard!
No complaints! Excellent design and will definitely recommend to my community & friends!

Viper: The only gaming mouse you’ll need

The Razer Viper is truly an esport mouse. I never held a light mouse before, but thats until I tries Best Buys display Razer Viper. Feeling how light it was I had to buy one to try at home. I can say with certainty this mouse is one of the best mouse for FPS games. I have 20cm long hands and after playing for a bit I found a grip style that works with me. Ever since then I have been able to FPS titles with the upmost accuracy. With its light weight im able to hit every flick and track every opponent without struggling to drag my mouse across the desk. After owning the G Pro and the Viper I could honestly recommend both, but this mouse is definitely worth it for its price tag, its weight, and its optical switches that’ll never double click.

I’ve been using this mouse for a while now, if you’re looking for an ergonomic mouse this isn’t exactly the best choice as it doesn’t wrap around your hand as nicely, but if you’re looking for a mouse to make your movement more accurate in game, this mouse is the way to go. I’ve felt a big difference in my gaming performance with this, feels way more smooth and accurate and the lightweight factor makes it easy to do flicks.

Lightweight, but Still Solid!

This is a solid-feeling and performing mouse which does the basics right and absolutely melts away in a setup. The mouse feels great in the hand with a solid ambidextrous design that conforms to my relatively large hands well. Tracking performance is great across all DPI settings, and the mouse skates across surfaces extremely smoothly. Every single button on the mouse is easy to press without being vulnerable to misclicks. The scroll wheel is grippy and scrolls accurately, with a clearly-defined click. The cord remains out of the way quite easily, and holds its form well. I think the only large downside is the position of the DPI adjustment button on the bottom of the mouse; the benefit of a DPI switch is being able to dynamically adjust sensitivity in-game, and it's difficult to do so uninterrupted with the button being on the bottom of the mouse (it is possible to bind sensitivity adjustment to other buttons on the mouse using Razer Synapse, however). I was able to score this mouse on sale for $39.99 and it's an absolutely incredible value at that price, but I can still recommend it at its full MSRP as well.

Endgame- Better than Viper Ultimate!

The search for the best gaming mouse can be tough. Manufacturers sometime don't list the most accurate numbers or weaknesses of their mouses. Rtings has done a lot of tests and Razer mice do have the best click latency but the Logitech sensor has the most solid accurate Hero sensor.
This mouse has a 5g sensor and I didn't notice a huge difference with the Viper ultimate. This is noticeably lighter than the Ultimate and it just feels better.
Also there is no post travel on the main buttons. The viper ultimate has some post travel issues and doesn't feel as crisp as the wired viper.
I've also tried the viper mini but the sensor isn't as good, a lot of cpi variation.
This mouse fits me better for all types of grips save for palm grip, which I never use anyways.
I tried the Mercury Viper Ultimate, the added paint job added more weight and didn't feel right, compared to this wired version.
Don't get me wrong the Viper Ultimate is probably the 2nd best wireless ever made. But I prefer the lighter weight viper and even the logitech superlight.

3rd Razer Mouse, STILL not disappointed!

This is the 3rd Razer mouse I've owned, None of them have disappointed so far. I like the DPI preset range on this one, as well as the fact that I can turn off the RGB (I know, blasphemy) to keep a low profile when I'm gaming at work, shhhh.
I've only used it for a few of days, playing a lot of CS:GO but it does its job and it does it well. I feel like I've got average sized hands and the mouse fits well. Glad I didn't go for the mini as I feel like that would've been too small.
Incredible deal on this as it is on sale right now right before Christmas.

Best mouse that you can get for 40 dollars. Every other mouse is obsolete at this price point, I am not a razer fan boy but I ended up upgrading to the ULTIMATE.

It's a good mouse. Coming from a deathadder elite at 105 grams it will take time to get used to it because it's light at 69 grams. The only thing I don't like is that I unintendedly found myself pressing the right side buttons.
