The Razer Wolverine V2 Pro wireless gaming controller for PS5/PC with remappable buttons is a premium controller that has a lot of features but is it worth the premium price? You have to ask yourself that when deciding to purchase this controller for you gaming needs. First of all the build quality is good and it feels great in the hand. The Wolverine V2 Pro is a PS5 /PC controller that comes in a Xbox controller form. For my personal preferences I enjoy the Xbox controller much more than the PlayStation style controller, it just feels more ergonomic to me The Wolverine V2 wireless controller includes two extra thumb stick caps ( concave and tall), a wireless 2.4GHz USB type A dongle and a wired type A to type C 4.5ft cable. You have the option of using this controller wired and wirelessly. I enjoy the button feel as they are quite clicky reminding me of mouse button clicks and very tactile. There are also two extra shoulder buttons and 4 trigger buttons that are remappable to suit your gaming style. The controller also sports RGB which is a nice touch. The controller performs well and it feels nice in the hand and it packs a lot of features but is it worth its price tag? That’s something you’ll have to decide for yourself. I say if you have the money go for it but you also can’t go wrong with a standard original controller.

Where to start with the Wolverine Wolverine V2 Pro. Compared to a stock DualSense controller, it's got some good heft to it and feels well built. It's easy to hold and the textured grip is very welcome. I don't find my hands getting all sweaty over a longer play session. This does use the offset Analog Sticks as are found on Xbox controllers, so if you don't like that placement, then you will want to look elsewhere. The buttons are fantastic. I love the audible click from the Face buttons and the D-Pad. Having a mechanical switch versus a membrane will always be superior just as on a keyboard. Better Tactile feel, response etc. The remappable buttons are great as well. Being able to set a Face button on say one of the additional Shoulder buttons or one of the additional buttons on the underside of the controller is a welcome feature. It does take a bit of getting used to though with having to adjust your hold with the extra buttons. Every single button has a mechanical and tactile feel to it and you feel it. Even the Touchpad has a very satisfying feel and click when you press it. The Analog sticks are also very nice and I like they included two additional and different sticks depending on your use case. They magnetize on and I was concerned about this thinking that just enough force would cause them to pop off and this just isn't the case. It's as though there's a Lock on them that keeps this from happening. I tried quite hard to get them to come off but they just stay on. The shoulder buttons are great as well. There's toggle for each that allows you to configure them for a long or short pull, the latter if you're playing a shooter which is of course helpful as you're not having to pull all the way on trh trigger. Battery Life I clocked in around 8 hours between my PC and PS5. That was from a full charge. I wish this it was longer though. Two big things I dislike though. There's no Adaptive Triggers on these. So if you're playing something like Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo, God of War or any other game that makes use of that feature, it's completely absent here. There's also no Force Feedback. From reading on this, they omitted these features as they're not something that is a focus or need in the Competitive scene (primarily to who these types of controllers are aimed at) so I can understand the choice. That said, the trade off of no Force Feedback and no Adaptive Triggers isn't a deal breaker, though the former is an odd choice given there's a Racing Preset for the controller and with Racing, Force Feedback is kind of a necessity. It's a really great and very solid built controller and the use of mechanical switches throughout provides even more benefit as they last longer than the the typical membrane interface. The app I think is a bit cumbersome to use as you need to put the controller in pairing mode to adjust any controls. I was also confused at the lack of support within Razer's Synapse Software. I would think that when you connect the controller it would allow you to remap buttons there, but there is no such feature. It seems odd there's no native support for their own controller in their own application on Windows PC's. It would be nice when using it on PC, it would allow you to map any key to any button, but sadly you can't. This could be a deal breaker for some, especially when dropping so much on a controller. Overall, it's a great controller. There are other options out there of course, but most of those are just modified DualSense controllers, not one built from the ground up.

It dose not work for ps4 only ps5 if you like then get it but I definitely would not recommend it

I’ve tried getting a new unused controller twice now and end up getting one USED at full price. Customer service hasn’t been any help and anytime you set up a callback time, they don’t bother returning the call. As a controller, it works ok and it definitely takes a little bit of adjustment. I got it to have a better directional pad for fighting games. I feel the included cable could have been longer and the dongle sticks out a bit more than i would prefer.

Slight lag/delay from buttons. Dualsense edge is far better and cheaper

The controller looks super cool and if you use the Razer app you can fully configure the controller lighting effects. Controller also comes with USB to USB-C cable, USB transmitter, two extra knobs and quick user guide. The controller has some weight to it and feels good in my hands, it seems very durable. The L1/R1 triggers can be adjusted with the sliding switches on the back of the controller. There is also a switch to use the controller wired or wirelessly. The cord is way too short to plug into my console and play at the same time, so wired play isn't an option for me. The battery life for this controller is excellent A huge problem for me is that there is no rumble for this controller like the Dual Sense. I also plugged in a headset into the jack in the controller, I did not get the 3D sound that I get with the Dual Sense controller. In conclusion, I really like the weight, feel and look of the controller, but no rumble is major deal breaker for me. This controller will used used by the second player only.

Bought to play some games on my PC. And games batkey work with it. Get a xbox controller instead if youre looking into getting this for your PC

I was pretty excited to give this a try. I do a lot of gaming on my PC, PS5, and Switch (this doesn't work with the switch). Out of the box you basically just get the controller, 2 extra sticks, and a USBC cable. As others have said, it would be nice to have some kind of case to keep the controller, extra sticks, and cable in. But that's a minor gripe. The feel of this controller is amazing. I have fairly large hands and while I game with regular controllers just fine, this one just seems to fit better in my hands. It's a bit wider than your standard controller. I wish the grips were a tad bit longer, but again, minor gripe. I have never used a controller with the "clicky" buttons before and I absolutely love it. The feel and response time is better than anything I have ever felt before. Not to mention I love the satisfying click with every press! The controller has many extra buttons that can be remapped so the controller can fit your playing style. For example if you wanted to remap the L1 and R1 triggers to the back paddles you could easily do it. I'm an old school gamer and prefer the regular layout though. Speaking of that. This isn't laid out like a standard PS5 controller with the sticks in the middle. The controller doesn't have haptic feedback or rumble either. With those 3 things missing I think this is more suitable as a PC controller, even though it works perfectly fine with a PS5. I guess I'm just used to having certain things when I play each different system and I would miss those features using this on my PS5. So this will absolutely be my new PC gaming controller. The controller also had programmable lights which look cool, but will also eat up your battery. I guess it's up to personal preference if you want or use those or not. Overall, I get great battery life out of it! Definitely more than you get with a regular PS5 controller. Overall, it's a pricy, but amazing feeling controller. If you are a gamer with bigger hands, absolutely give this a try. I'm sure you will love it!

A solid choice, but... I was expecting a bit more. The Razer Wolverine 2 Pro is a great wireless controller, but it lacks features found on much less expensive controllers. For starters, no haptic feedback. They claim that for a professional controller, most pros don't use rumble/haptic, and it adds weight. I feel that for the price tag of this controller, it should be included, and a switch to enable or disable it be included. The triggers are also not adaptive like your standard PS5 controller. The buttons on the Wolverine 2 Pro can be reassigned, but you have to download an app on your smartphone to make any changes to the button and RGB lighting. The onboard sound is actually very good, but I did have an issue with the left and right channels being swapped. After a quick google search for a firmware update, I found what I was looking for. The firmware corrected the issue. The controller itself is very enjoyable to play with. It fits very well in my large hands and is ergonomic and comfortable. The analog sticks are very accurate and responsive. The button presses are instant, giving you immediate feedback of your actions, which can making playing shooters and other high action games much more enjoyable. While using the controller I've noticed no difference between wired(charging) or wireless mode, so you should expect a lag free wireless experience if you're considering this controller. Likes: 1.) Comfortable in my large hands 2.) Buttons can be re-assigned 3.) RGB for the cool factor Dislikes: 1.) No haptic feedback 2.) No adaptive triggers 3.) I had to hunt down firmware to correct a few minor issues. Software doesn't notify you that there is an update.
