Customers are pleased with the EPrime Electric Scooter's speed. However, some customers expressed concerns regarding the scooter's battery life, requiring frequent charging and providing an unclear range indicator. Additionally, the braking system received negative feedback, with reports suggesting it is ineffective and requires a significant stopping distance. Improvements to the braking system and battery life would enhance the overall user experience.

Getting me from Train to Work | An A+ Option!

I'm a daily train commuter into the Los Angeles area - something I have been doing for years to avoid about 20 miles of solid traffic along a very heavily traveled corridor. When arriving at my station near work, I would take a bus, get a ride or call for a car to get me to my office. I had begun to notice more and more of my fellow passengers bringing electric bikes, scooters and skateboards along with them for final travel to their destinations, and it prompted me to search for an option of my own. I found expensive options that were way outside of my price range, and cheaper ones that looked like they just weren’t going to cut it (I’m an American adult, after all…not a lighter-weight child). When I came across the E Prime, I felt like I had found the one! It looked to be just the right spec and price for me, so I excitedly decided to purchase the scooter for pick up the same day in store. (I had to have it right away, and loved the instant gratification of getting it within an hour…thanks Best Buy!)
It performs as expected, and I have been using my E Prime to get back and forth from the train station to work ever since. It has the power and speed to get me the couple of miles to my office, where I charge it up during the day, and then it is ready to whisk me away back to the train at the end of the day. I am pleased to have received a solid value for the price I paid.
My train friends have been asking where they can get one too. Not only is it a fun product that is functional, but it's a great looking conversation starter as well.

Bought the Prime electric scooter for my son for this birthday. Much faster than his previous Razor Scooter. Rides well. I had a problem with the battery charging so I brought it back to Best Buy and exchanged for a new one, no problem. So far, so good on this new scooter related to the battery.

Amazing fun! Bought this for my kids 10/12 for Christmas and they love it! Very easy to handle and throttle is also easy to learn. I was concerned getting them a scooter that can go that fast but it’s really easy to control the throttle. We love it

This scooter feels just like the electric scooters you can ride in Orlando and Miami. You can’t regret this purchase. The charge time is a little long from a dead battery but it has like 5 mile range. For me it did anyway

I had no expectations buying this scooter, so when it arrived, I was pleased. It was a solid scooter for the price. I purchased the scooter for a commute to work from my home (a little less than one mile). I thought It looked great and served the purpose. I had some initial impressions: (1) Yes, it rattled and the ride was not the smoothest; however, it was pretty inexpensive; (2) it would not make up the slightest incline (I am a 130 pound female), but I could bare with that for the price and what I needed it for; (3) it needed charged frequently, but the charger was small and it worked just fine for my short commute.
The breaking point for me was safety. Sometimes I ride home at night and there are no lights or reflectors on the scooter which makes it dangerous riding on the street with cars. Moreover, I rode it down a street that had an incline (not steep, but not flat) and the brakes did not slow it down and I had to jump off. I was startled because I am used to riding the lime and bird scooters that could break easily after gaining a bit of speed on that same incline.
In summary, great scooter for the purchase price. I would use it for a short commute during the day that did not have any hills or inclines. I had to return it because I encountered hills and the breaks do not work well after picking up speed and I needed something with lights for a short commute at night. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more and bought the ES4 Ninebot Segway scooter. Very happy with that investment because it was a better fit for what I needed.

I bought the scooter in January. After 3 months of lightly using it, now its April its broke.
My son can’t accelerate it with the switch. Sometimes it will go but its jerking and doesn’t have fun when it kept doing it!
If you go up the hill, it will slow down like it will die.
I won’t recommend this scooter to anyone especially with its price tag, not worth your money!!

A Poorly Executed Scooter That Misses the Mark

After initial high hopes that Razor had delivered a reasonably priced scooter that could compete with Segway and Xiaomi, I went through the mental process of denial and emerged a cynical critic of this design.
I suppose the best place to start is the offensively terrible knob that you used to tighten the folding mechanism. It's ironic that Razor advertises this as a rattle free design because in reality every few blocks the knob comes loosen andd rattles like crazy. Did I mention that the knob is loose? There is no possible physical way to tighten it enough without bringing a pair of pliers with you and even then it comes loose.
I have a good theory for why it comes loose so easily. It's because this scooter has hard plastic wheels and no suspension. So, every single vibration every single granule of gravel on a paved street shakes the entire scooter and every bone in your body. In the process, it shakes that knob loose.
Getting on to other issues, the electronic break on this scooter is not regenerative but it is extremely weak and basically useless. The rear wheel friction break is there but it too is awkward to use effectively. It's hard to stop this scooter in a reasonable distance.
Not only are the wheels hard plastic, but they are skinny. This is a huge disadvantage compared to competing electric scooters, it can easily get stuck in train and trolley tracks as well as storm grates.
Are you curious what else is not so great about this scooter? How about the lack of a light or reflectors for nighttime writing. How about the absence of a speedometer, or the battery gauge that leaves you guessing about the range.
Or how about the weak motor that can barely get to 10 miles an hour on flat ground, and only reaches the advertised maximum speed downhill.
And how about the abysmal range. 6 miles I'd say, no more. And that last mile, that's going to be at half speed.
Oh, and the inadequate charger is going to take forever.
I don't understand why Razor did not want to build something that properly competes with the better motorized kick scooters out there. But the simple fact is, this is not it. This is a terrible scooter.

I love this scooter! It is fun to ride and super stylish looking. It has a long lasting battery, really quiet and easily folds for storage...and it doesn't take very long to recharge. The handlebars can adjust up or down making it a comfortable ride for my older kids to use too. This So Cal family loves the Razor E Prime for riding around the neighborhood and for my short commute to and from work!

Not a fan.
It took 3store fronts to stop with brake on when I tried to stop. You need to hit brake which kills the motor and hit foot brake
The rear motor wheel will want it to pop a wheely. Had to jump front wheel over a hose and the little pull up wanted it to do a wheely. Dangerous..
The charging port is on the bottom. What happens if you hit a puddle?
There also is no front suspension every bump hurts.
I expected more from razor.
Best buy is great
