The instructions were easy and straightforward so that set up was easy. The remote even worked on a tv that was older.

This works great for almost all purposes. Programmed it to work on TV. Also have a DVD/VCR combo that I wanted to control but due to its limitation, I can only control the DVD -OR- VCR function based on the programming code. Otherwise simple to setup and buttons are great size.

I bought this remote to replace my directv remote. Excellent and easy to use. LOVE the backlight feature!

Bought this remote to replace a remote for an old flat screen TV that no longer was working. The buttons are large and of various shapes. This makes it super easy to use. Programming was the easiest so far as there was at least one step less involved. Love my new remote!

I bought this remote as the remote I got with my Toshiba TV didn't work right. It is a perfect size, the buttons work great and light up if needed. Easy to program not like others that are impossible to program. Good value.

This remote was recomennded to us when we purchased our open box 32" Sharp HDTV, because there was no remote in the "open box". We're completely satisfied with the purchase and functionality of the remote.

Sure I got lured by the bell and whistles of more expensive remotes but this RCA unit MAKES IT A SNAP to quickly program my tv, DVD, and my cable box with this unit Having the batteries included helped too

I bought this for my 88 year old dad. It was the largest one that still worked on his older devices. It meets our needs. I do hope someone figures out that the elder community has an unmet need.

This universal remote was very easy to set up. I am able to do most things that I want to . Can not find a source button on it though so I have to go into menu to change the source .

Was very easy to follow instructions for set up - the reason I did not give 5 stars is because it does not have some of the functions my old remote had - such as being able to get a schedule of programming/ synopsis of show that is currently being televised. That is an option I used a lot, and miss it. Had I known this remote did not have that feature, I would have purchased a different model that DID have that feature.

I previously had two expensive Harmony remotes. They worked well, but were too complicated for my wife. This remote controls all of my devices and is simple to use.

Bought this remote as a replacement for the one that came with my old Panasonic flat screen, which seemed to be suffering from a weak signal. This one works great from anywhere in the room with all of my equipment, including my ROKU box. It was easy to set up, and the backlighting is an upgrade over the original equipment unit. The only downside is that it lacks a button for adjusting aspect. Otherwise great value.

Gave it 4 stars simply because its a remote with no real appeal! However, once programmed it works as expected! I bought it after buying an open box vizio!

This little gadget has buttons that like to be pressed. The instructions for finding your TV or DVD player's codes are the same as always, but such a relief when you finally get the right one. It's not overly complicated or crowded with multipurpose buttons, so I'm happy with it.

I was so happy to finally get a remote that worked for more than one device, and the overall price I paid was fair, esp. since it was on sale the day I walked in and had already returned 2 different remotes at different places.. Just glad the search was over! Thanks Best Buy

This device was easy to program. It works like the original device remotes with minor exceptions. I haven't figured out if it's possible to select closed captions on the TV or to eject a DVD on the DVD player with the universal remote. Neither of these issues are deal-breakers for me. It's great to control both the TV and DVD player with one remote.

Set up was a breeze and it worked with both our TV and DVD. The remote does need be pointed pretty directly at the device it is controlling.

Had an older TV that was using in a child's room. Just moved and could not find the initial remote. Found this one, has multiple device functions, ease of use, light-up keypad, and linked to an older TV model effortlessly. Great price for a perfectly functional little remote.
