This is good if you are within 3 ft of the subject. It did not say what the distance was when purchasing it, so I found out through trial and error. For what I was creating, I did not want to be limited by the distance.

Sound is awesome. My only complaint is that I have to take my phone out of its case to use it.

This is a great mic for vlogging from the iPhone. Great audio. Problem I have is that I have to disconnect to hear playback, but I guess that is an iOS problem.

Love how this made the video that i record from my phone clearer and cuts out much of the distortion and background sounds.

This is definitely a must purchase if you make videos. We ran so many tests before making videos to be published and it blew us away. The price is awesome. Can’t say enough good things about it. Clearly made very well and the sound quality is superior. High recommend.

When this microphone works, it does a lovely job. The issue is that over half the time that I use it, it heightens the pitch of a person’s voice and makes it all scratchy so they sound like an alien. On the iPhone, you can’t preview your video with sound while the microphone is plugged in so you can’t even check if it’s doing it. This is ruined HOURS of recording time. There is no rhyme or reason as to why it does it or when it will do it. One take may be perfect and the next all alien like. I bought this in November of 2021. I started using it late December, it started malfunctioning by mid January… I’m definitely not happy with the cost per function ratio for this product.

A good mic for recording podcasts or interviews and doesnt let too much air in.

I love this version of the rode for iPhone. Very easy to use and setup. If I had to asked for more it would be to draw less juice.

Bought to capture audio for animation. Great sound, blocks background noises decently, especially for the price.

I ordered this little mic in hopes that it would pick up more of the sound from my iPad while playing and singing during live Zoom jams. There wasn't much improvement, and I've since realized that the main utility is when using apple devices outdoors. I've moved on to using a laptop for Zoom, so will be returning the mic. On the plus side, it was very easy to install.

At the time of purchase I owned an iPhone X and the built in mic compared to this was in my opinion not worth the price. You can tell a slight difference but, where it does shine is in outdoor windy situations. I had to return as most of my filming is indoors and just couldn’t justify the price. If you have an older model phone 8 and under that’s where I’d recommend or outdoor filming
