Works perfectly out of the box, just charge it and go. Tested with a Sony video camera and a Samsung Tab A. If you plan on using theis with a phone or tablet make sure you also purchase the SC7 patch cable, the included one will not work with them. Great sound, easy to use, and affordable!

Great mic! Works like a charm and from quite a distance. If you’re using it with a phone, you’ll need a different cable than the one it comes with. I couldn’t get it to work initially, but called Rode and they knew right away what the issue was. It works perfectly with the new cable. 4 stars because I feel like it should come with both cable options… Lots of people film from their phones these days.

This is a great wireless microphone. You can not only use it as stand alone wireless microphone, but also a transmitter/receiver for any microphone which is plugged in. The sound quality and the wireless range are great, typical Rode quality. Must have for Vlogger.

Easy to use with just the built-in mic or with a lab mic. I recommend getting a mic/headphone splitter for your computer. Makes it easy to take the signal for Zoom meeting or VOIP calls. Great so far! The battery is good enough for a 2 hour broadcast with 50% remaining.

I'm not an experienced vlogger, but I wanted something that I could record videos with clear sound from the speaker. I did an interview in a very loud place and could get great sound. It is not directional, it's to be used as a lavalier, so you still get a lot of background noise. However the speaker voice is crystal clear.
You need to watch the levels because it can clip easily, it is very sensitive. Battery lasts a long time.

Watched a few tips, tricks, hints videos. Attaching microphone module to a lanyard produces fabric scratching noises - attach to clothing that does not move. Clipped it inside a shirt pocket and it was okay. Had to adjust audio parameters with different cameras. The tiny dead cat was okay in moderate wind. Takes up less space than shotgun receiver. If gimbal is balanced without the Rode, attaching the Rode with a short cable does not require rebalance of the gimbal, therefore prefer Rode when changing short lenses on cameras on the gimbal. Shotgun mic vs Rode choice depends on what is being recorded. I like being able to place the Rode mic several away from the receiver and camera. My shotgun distance is limited by cable length.

I'm so impressed with this wireless microphone system. I needed to create educational content that could be pushed out by teachers to young students virtually. Trying to engage young students learning to read in phonemic awareness activities so that the teacher could piggyback instructionally by attaching speech sounds to spelling patterns would have been impossible without high quality audio. I needed something that could capture the difference between /f/ and /v/ or /b/ and /p/. I've used the microphone with an external lapel mic and without. When audio was of just one person, attaching a Lepel mic to the system enhanced the audio. However, When audio of more than one person needed to be captured, the microphone with out a lapel mic attached worked fantastically.

I absolutely love these mics! They work great and the sound quality is awesome. I've used it with a lav plugged in too. I haven't had any issues with signal. However, the last time I used it, the plate on the unit the the screen came off and the band underneath ripped so I no longer can see my screen! The mic will still power on and work but I can't see anything. Hoping I can get it fixed or replace by RODE.

I was looking for a reason to get this into my kit and when I had the oppertunity I jumped on it. Just sorryy I waited so long. Exceptional Rode quality as usual.
Sound is perfect and the Wireless Go has all but replaced my G100 wirelass and my Rode Video Mic.
I would suggest that if you want to use a Lav on this that you stick with the Rode Pro. I tried a couple of others (not Rode) and was not totally happy with them.
Now the not so good. The unit comes with 2 mini dead cats that clip onto the trans unit, they do a almost excellet job in cutting normal wind right up to the the point that it falls off. Which is about everytime you move. Now I know why there is 2 in the kit. I bet you lose one on your first shoot.

We bought this for our church during the COVID-19 so we could live -stream to Facebook. I have an iPhone and this paired well (need TRSS and dongle to make it link to the phone) . Sound is amazing and you can adjust the levels. This is a LINE OF SIGHT unit, so if you are filming and constantly turning back and forward, you may have a brief sound drop - that said, clipping it in an area on your body where it is consistently in line of sight - you won't have a problem. Highly satisfied with this purchase.

To start, 'I'm no expert or video pro.
Bought this after realizing that my regular Rode microphone would not work on my Nikon Z50 when attached to my Weebill S Gimble. Not enough clearance when going to the "low Slung" mode. Works great right out of the box. Didn't come with much in the quick start guide. Basically, charge them up and turn them on. They connect quickly. The built-in mic works great. I have also used my sony lavalier mic plugged in and have had no issues. They include 2 dead cats, a connection wire, and a case. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I purchased many wired microphones and they go bad after a few months. $30 to $40 a piece, I wanted to invest in something that is wireless and that to last for a long time. All the wireless mics were over $300 and we're really big. Well out of my range. Until I saw videos on this wireless microphone , I didn't even know it existed. Price the only $200, with a brand name behind it I couldn't resist. I had too many comments that my viewers could see my microphone. Well duh, I didn't even attempt to hide it but now I can. It's well worth the money! The only problem I have with it is that the cord connecting the transmission unit to the camera broke after the first time using it. I had to buy extra ones on Amazon. Other than that it works out perfectly! Plug & Play!

This is a great, grab and go minimum no fuss system at an incredibly budget friendly price.... I would recommend purchasing a separate lav mic to wire into the setup when you want to hide the receiving mic....
