For several decades the seed of Hitchcock appreciation has grown froma jolly good time at the movies to a Jesuitical colloquy that risks making tedious that which we remembered as a suspenseful, delightful, colorful humorous movie. So to survive this kill-joy parsing it is best to stop reading about why we are enjoying REAR WINDOW, and instead get comfy, crank up the 4k device and watch, repeat watch this grand cinematic dessert and listen not to informed analysis of why we want to own this excellent 4k transfer.

The video and the audio quality may not be up to the level of its brethren, Vertigo- but what is? It's still quite the impressive 4K disc for a movie that's nearly 70 years old. There are also a number of informative special features. And while the steelbook artwork isn't on the level of Vertigo (again, what is?), it's worlds better than the standard SKU. In all, this gets the full 5 stars because it's the sort of movie that's a must watch as much because of its influence on pop culture in the many decades since it's release as for it's quality.

If you're a Hitchcock fan, "Rear Window" must be in your library. This new 4k rendering is a marvelous wonder! Highly recommended!

This is my favorite Alfred Hitchcock movie. Jimmy Stewart, Grace Kelly, and Thelma Ritter are so good. Imagine you're stuck in a city apartment with a broken leg and you think there has been a murder in a nearby apartment. You are helpless to do anything but your sense of right and wrong drives you to solve a crime, or at least you think there was a crime. So well written and acted. My daughters loved it, too, when I showed to them about 10 years ago. It also made AFI's 100 Best at #48.

This is a great classic movie. It shows what can be done with a good script and good actors. It keeps you guessing right until the end.

Outstanding 4K transfer. Well worth the upgrade. One of the few classic films worthy.

Nobody keeps you on the edge of you seat like Hitchcock!!Especially with Jimmy Stewart playing the part

This is a review for the picture quality. Nothing else can be said about the film due to it being a masterpiece. The HDR on the opening titles was jarring and had me worried about the rest of the film. The highlights had a pink tint for some reason. This only happened during the opening titles however and the rest of the film was beautiful. A definite must-buy!

A classic with great picture and audio quality. Rear Window hasn't looked or sounded this good ever.

A great hitchcock film and a great thriller and mystery film

... Thelma Ritter and Raymond Burr. This is 1950's Hitchcock at his best. The story is confining, but the suspense is real. The movie in 4K has never looked better. It's a classic film. The presentation is incredible. The steelbook is stylish. It's a great film with a great cast and it has never looked better. What more do you need to say.
