I own a Canon 70d and I have seen a huge difference in the amount of shots I get with the new version "-N" of this battery over the battery that came with the camera

This is a genuine Canon battery. It works very well in my Canon 80D. There are cheaper batteries but on some of the Facebook groups I am on, I have seen posts where the off brands failed to work properly. I am not willing to miss that once in a lifetime picture by saving a few dollars on battery.

Always go with a name brand when it comes to camera batteries. Bought off brands from amazon and they do not hold half the charge of a OEM one.

I purchased two of these batteries because my husband plays music and wanted to record some of the songs the band played and not just bits and pieces of them. I also take lots of pictures. They play 4 hour gigs and I still had life left on the second battery at the end of the gig. Next time I will record more music and take more pictures!

It's a battery

I purchased this battery in order to have an extra power source for my Canon 80D. It's always a good idea to have an extra battery ready to go during long shoots. Canon says that one should use only Canon approved batteries, but their batteries are a whole lot over-priced, in my opinion. (That's the reason for the somewhat lower score.) There are other batteries that appear to work just as well and they generally cost about half of what Canon batteries go for. However, should problems with the camera ever come about, use of an off--brand could affect your warranty, so using the recommended battery is probably a good safety net. As far as how it works... doesn't do much but power the camera functions and it seems to hold its charge for quite a while. I can usually get more than 800 shots per charge.

I feel like I'm swapping batteries on my 7D much more than prior cameras! This backup battery then becomes necessary whenever you're out on a shoot. I do recommend sticking with non-generic batteries, as the generic ones tend to have even less life.

Saved My Trip

Two days before traveling overseas I was going to charge my Canon - LP-E6N Lithium-Ion Battery for my 70D and I couldn't find it in my camera case. Called several camera shops and was told it had to be ordered and expected to ship in 3-5 days. Went to Best Buys and they had the original ( not a replacement) on the shelf. They saved my trip. They are the BEST BUY.

I never buy generic as I've heard it could result in the battery over heating and causing a ton of damage. Great battery, must have of you own a canon.

Needed Extra Battery for New Canon DSLR

I purchased an additional Canon brand battery when I purchased my second Canon DSLR from BB. Luckily for me, BB had a stock of the original manufacturer batteries so I snagged one among other items I needed to gear-up with the new camera. No issues with the additional battery, you need one unless you want to wait while your primary battery charges to take more pictures.

I almost forgot why I purchased this. It was a gift for my partner who bought their new camera that came with a free battery grip but no second battery. Have never heard them complain about battery issues so I imagine it works as it's supposed to
very overpriced because of brand loyalty

I have about 6 of these bad boys and I really don't need that many but when your to late to charge them over night or because your going on a trip it really becomes pessary to have that many. And don't need to switch them but only two times for a whole day of landscape photography. Love these batteries and they feel great!

I do a lot of shooting and like to have an extra charged battery on hand! It helps to not run our when you really need it! The cover on the battery can be placed to denote whether it is a charged battery ( Blue shows thru the openings) or turn the cover the other direction to note afischarged battery.

Bought this as an extra battery for my Canon 80D - fortunately I had it fully charged when my first battery ran low on Safari - about 10 minutes later got up close and personal with a cheetah - got some great pictures and videos. Worked perfectly - no problems for the whole 11 day trip - definitely glad I had it!

The Canon OEM batteries can cost more, but they are worth it. I've gone cheap before and been bit by batteries that die within a few months. The Canon original battery costs a little more, but it lasts a LOT longer. My cheap batteries just suddenly stop taking a charge or die VERY fast and without warning. It's worth it to go OEM.

OEM Canon batteries just perform

Purchased a second battery for my Canon EOS 5D Mark IV and OEM Canon batteries just perform it’s that simple. If you need a second battery pack, Canon is the way to go. With third party, Non-Canon batteries, you may get; error messages, faults, failures not to mention that using non-OEM batteries can void the manufactures warranty.
