I purchased the EN-EL15a battery as a spare for my Nikon camera. They are a greatly improved version with better performance and endurance. As a professional photographer, I would only recommend the Nikon brand for your camera, instead of a third party manufacturer.

I bought the battery to go in the new MB-D15 Battery Grip that I purchased. I like that I have the extra battery in the grip. I don't have to stop to put a new battery in while I'm shooting.

Very nice battery it good for a replacement or just to have a extra battery just in case you know i do recommended even if you dont think that you need it :)

The battery life is really long. They said the brand name batteries will last longer, that is true.

I bought two of this battery for my Nikon D850 camera for my long trip in Asia in 2018. I could take hundred of photos with this device. Very reliable !

This is an additional battery for my Nikon D800 and D850 (as D850 battery grip). These batteries are very well made and last a long time (my D850 battery and a secondary EN-EL15 which were purchased 6 years ago are still going strong). You pay a little more, but Nikon products last and last. Two third party batteries I purchased 5 years ago have gone bad long ago. None of my Nikon batteris have at this time, although I expect them to at some time in the future, just the nature of batteries no matter how well they are made.

Great back up battery for my Nikon D7500. I am able to do time lapse photography with this battery!

These is an improved version of the EN-EL15. Tried to go the cheap alternative before with third party batteries , but they seldom last very long or don't work at all! Always use Nikon batteries in your camera. The third party batteries are problematic. Nikon batteries last for ever, and hold a charge and are worth the price. Bravo, Nikon! I use it with confidence. Highly recommended!

I've received third-party batteries as freebies when purchasing cameras in the past and none have lasted as long or performed as consistently as the name brand. What's the use of paying 1/2 price if the camera stops working when you need it? For my money, I'm sticking with name brand batteries as I've never had one fail in 15+ years of digital shooting.

I have one Nikon EN-El15 and a EN-EL15a for my Nikon D500! It was hard to tell which one was the 15 or the 15a, I did figure it out but was a problem. I love this battery because it is gray, easy to know this is the 15a. It was expensive, duh it's Nikon! The D500 will not accept anything than a Nikon battery!

The review listing doesn't make it clear that this is the newer Nikon EN-EL15a Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery. It is an upgrade from the Nikon EN-EL15 Battery that came with my D7100. The EL 15a is backward compatible with the D7100, but lasts a lot longer. Great job, Nikon!!!

Battery charges quick and lasts for a long time. I used my camera practically all day and did not need to charge it. Recommend getting the multi purpose charger that can hook up to USB in your car or airport for when you are on the go.

Having an extra battery is well worth the cost. It was less than buying the extended grip which eventually I want but provides extra hours of battery life. Invaluable if going on a job and/or going into the field trying to capture that perfect moment

I would be screaming if this thing did anything but take a full charge and last for several hundred captures. But that's exactly what it did. To me, it's worth a few extra bucks to get the Nikon product rather than a sketchy knock-off. But YMMV.

EN-EL15a After spending $2795 on a Nikon DSLR, why bother with after market/third party batteries to save $15 -$25 and gamble if the cheaper battery will be fully compatible with your advanced camera? Stick with the OEM Nikon battery.

I'm glad I purchased another battery I'm new to photography and got some great advice early on that you can have too many batteries and it has turned out to be true. Great product and they price matched Amazon for me:)
