In a world where everything is third-party and an endless supply of shooters, it's a breath of fresh air whenever a game comes out that is not only exclusive - giving reason and character to a console - but also provides a new outlook on its respective genre and gives great gameplay to boot. From the makers of Mega Man and Metroid Prime, ReCore is an awesome game that provides players with a great character to go on a journey with, as well as platforming and RPG elements to enhance your experience and have fun throughout. Hands down one of the best games on Xbox. Wish there was more like this and Scalebound (RIP Scalebound). Less pew-pews, more diverse stuff like this.

Platforming, exploration, and combat are all very well done and satisfying. Main story feels like it was shoehorned in to fit gameplay. Considering how short the main story is it also feels like some of the side missions were designed to simply add length to the game to bring value to the players buying this game on release date.

This game was definitely worth the purchase, it reminds me a bit of Zelda. I like the open world feel, and exploring the dungeons. The companions add a lot of depth, and combat is rewarding.

Recore is a good with a decent story and good gameplay.

This is a much game that is enjoyable and challenging at the same time. You can get a little far ahead of where you should be making the game harder than it needs to be though.

I was pretty excited about this game from the trailers, and it definitely did not disappoint. It isn't one of those games that holds your hand. There is actual difficulty and skill involved. I'm having a blast. The only reason I rated it 4 stars is for the ridiculously long load times, and that may change with updates.

ReCore is an absolute blast to play. The protagonist, Joule and her trusted companion are both very cute. Although cute, each of Joule's Corebots can aggressively attack enemies with the single push of a button. The platforming exploration of ReCore is much like the old-style games on the Nintendo system. The best part of ReCore's platforming is the level design of the dungeons. Each dungeon has its own demands like tactical moves that require quick leaps between moving platforms and searching for hidden keys. This is a great game for those who love platform games. I look forward to exploring a new adventure in a world of ReCore.

This game plays great. The use of a lock on system in a 3rd person shooter is genius and allows you focus on other mechanics during combat like weapon attacks and dodging. However this game is just not finished. Free DLC is promised to add in the missing content, however no release data has been given.

Wow, I can't seem to put this game down. It has a great story line and the movement mechanics are wonderful. The one downside is that the loading times are excessively long.

ReCore is one of those games that will grow on you. While there are a couple of minor gameplay issues regarding the camera and framerate, the overall game is solid and quite fun. If you are looking for a game that comes from nowhere to give you a fun experience, this is a game that will fit that need.

Game chocked full of things to keep you interested. With difficult time trials and other challenges, it's not your typical 3rd person/2nd person shooter. Gameplay is filled with plenty of tips along the way, so you're not always scratching your head trying to figure out how to do things.

I can say this game is very challenging with some bosses and the exploring is lots of fun. The mechanics of battling and commanding your corebots can be a lot to handle when fighting some bosses but you will get used to it. I can totally feel aspects of Metroid Prime and Megaman in the game.

I know I gave it 4 stars. But that is only because it's short. I want more! This game was awesome. I didn't think there could possibly be a 3rd person Metroid. Boy was I wrong. And you get invested in the characters. The biggest challenge is letting go of your creations for something better.

ReCore comes off as a classic platformer and has the chops of what a great game should be. Controls at times can be a little clunky and the graphics have their moments where they struggle on the console.. It's fun but I imagine this would look way better on the newer consoles coming out soon.

Recore is a pretty fun game with a different and unique storyline with a different style of game play along with it. It's not like your standard shooter and it is entertaining enough to play through multiple times. Personally I liked it a lot and would definitely recommend it.

Excellent game, but doesn't quite live up to the hype of being developed by the same people that worked on Metroid Prime. Still, it's a solid game and quite fun. It does get kinda repetitive, but if you can look past that it's good and you should try it if you can get it on sale

Despite a lot of negativity surrounding this game at launch, I have put in about 20 hours and enjoyed my time with it. But yes, everything you've heard about the load times are true. Even after two patches, still can take up to 2 minutes to load new areas. Worth it for the gameplay

got the newly updated definitive edition, definitely improves over the previous version.
