We really enjoyed the movie. It was a great movie to watch at home

Remakes of movie favorites often are a disappointment. The action in this movie keeps your attention so you don't wish for the original. I'm keeping the original movie in my collection, with this right beside it.

I thought this movie was a good one to watch on a rainy day with nothing else to do. I never watched the original, but have heard it's a lot better than this remake. The action is great. The story is predictable, but still enjoyable.

This was basically an alien invasion movie where we substituted aliens for North Koreans. It starts out far fetched but interesting and basically gets stupider and stupider as it goes forward. SPOILER ALERT When a main character gets unexpectedly killed off late in the film what should be a shocking moment is just a stupid one and it ends up rendering most of the movie'so subplots and themes. It is also hard to believe that the situation could extend beyond a day or two, except the training the main kids need to do what they do can't be accomplished in a day or two. Defies logic and bad acting but mostly bad editing. Too bad, it could have been a good fun little action film if it had kept its premis and scope more tightly controlled.

the way the world is going makes this movie ver realistic and believable. plenty of action. no major actors but is as good as the first one with patrick swazy in it.
