I played rd1 years ago when it came out and knew I had to pick this up. The game looks amazing, the hunting/skinning of animals is realistic, and the story is a little long but it's a great one. Finishing the story is like getting to the end of a Netflix show you like your sad it's over, but you can always play it again.

I can't remember how long I've waited for the sequel to the original Red Dead Redemption to come out, and when it finally did, I can't be happier. This game improves in every way over the original. Great story, great gameplay, great all around game!

Nice game, great graphics for a console game. Waiting on pc version for 4K graphics and 60 FPS. In the meantime I’ll settle for 30 fps 1080p. I done the first few missions which are linear I heard in the beginning... then the game is open world. Graphics 9/10 Sound 9/10 Atmosphere 9/10 Is rockstar at their best

    Next Gen Game

This is a game that will give us a sneak pick of what games will look like on the PS5 and Xbox Scarlet. Rockstar needs to address the weak HDR problem because the game looks way better in SDR. That is my only complaint about this, it is my second favorite game this generation right behind Horizon Zero Dawn!!

The attention to detail and love that went into this game is like nothing I've ever seen before. You can tell that Rockstar spared no expense when developing this game. It has its negatives and is not perfect, but I can't think of any game that has moved the industry forward quite like this. BRAVO!

Make no mistake, if you bought this version of the game for the Xbox One X, you are playing the best version of the game. The art direction, the cinematography, the voice acting and animations are all top notch even for Rockstar standards. But what puts it over the top is this is probably the best looking game on the market, even better than PC games that are out now in terms of overall appearance. You're not going to get more than 30 FPS until it maybe comes to PC, so until then, this is as good as its going to get. Also kudos to BestBuy for getting this to me on release day, they missed it in the past with Destiny 2 and I wasn't happy about that at all.

This particular companies games get a lot of over the top hype. This particular game had a lot of mixed reviews in regards to how things moved and, the slow pacing of the character. Overall, these things didn't bother me in the least. Not a fan of the ending but, the getting to the ending is really what matters and from A-Y was great. Z not so much. But that's just my opinion. I did not do every tiny little thing like I did in the original. I am over hunting hard to impossible to find creatures like snakes and specific birds. But everything else was very much enjoyable. After the first one, I did find myself now and again going back to the game to play the mini games. This time around I felt those mini games were just average and more tedious than enjoyable. Liars dice was a particular favorite and, I know you don't want to rehash the past but did miss that alot.

I got the game for the Xbox One X and just wow. I am blown away on how visually stunning the game is. Play it on a 4K TV or you are not doing it justice. As for the story, I just finished Chapter 1. It's a slow going story so be patient. I am looking forward to exploring in the game.

This game has ranked in my top 3 when it come to story, character bonds and graphics. Plus their is alot to do in the game, I mean like alot. You will without a doubt get your money out of this game. I was not a big cowboy western themed kinda guy, but it's so good it drew me into it.

I was terribly disappointed by RDR2. While visually stunning and smooth running during gameplay, Rockstar Games has bogged this title down with endless management details that greatly impact gameplay. The original RDR had some of this but for the sequel they have amped it up to the Nth degree forcing you to constantly waste in game time eating, sleeping, bathing, brushing your horse, smoking and other tedious actions that can't be disabled. I have been told they want to keep the experience "real" but when you only have a limited time to sit and play each week, spending 30 minutes doing these things just becomes ponderous. Now you have to monitor your body temperature if you can believe that. Wearing that heavy winter coat while in the desert will cause you harm. If you eat too much or too little, it also impacts your character's health, rarely if ever for the player benefit. The game is so bogged down in these tedious details that it kind of saps the fun out of just enjoying the pretty scenery. I have more than 20 hours of gameplay invested and I still don't really know what the ultimate story is about or what my version of Arthur Morgan is expected to do. Deadeye drains so rapidly that combat against groups of lawmen or bounty hunters is a constant repeat of live, shoot back, die and respawn that it is likewise not especially fun. Each time you die you lose money. The more times you get killed in a gameplay hour, the amount of your money you lose also increases. Committing robberies or other shenanigans to increase your holdings is also bogged down with ridiculously tiny amounts of currency or valuables making it difficult to actually get the stake together you need to really begin the main quest line. With no way to lower any difficulty settings or ways to adjust and reduce the more tedious elements of the game it has been thus far for me, not nearly as much fun as it is bland repetition. Some might argue that you just have to build up to being a better character and the gameplay improves but again, when you have a limited time for gaming and just want to enjoy, it gets frustrating after a while. I recognize that I am probably one of the few who finds this system more of a nuisance than a quality feature but I think they overdid it in the "realism" department. Even the mini-game where you sit down to play poker with random folks has become more time consuming than the original as you are limited in when you can "skip" the cut scenes. You have to sit there after each hand while a computer player collects the cards and passes them to the next dealer....every, single hand. Just a constant time waste that might be more realistic but it sucks the joy out of playing. In a nutshell, this is a visually stunning game with pretty good mechanics and a deep and I am told, well written story - but Rockstar Games has micro-managed a big chunk of the fun out of it. Cheat codes are readily available online but be WARNED - activating any cheat code will disable all achievements and make it IMPOSSIBLE to save your game and this effect is permanent as soon as you activate a cheat. Even if you disable the cheat, you are still locked out of saving your game. IF you do activate a cheat, be sure to have at least one SAVE GAME without the cheats prior to activating them or you will never be able to save the game period. This effect is apparently permanent.

Really amazing game. The story is great, you can totally emerge yourself in the game as Arthur Morgan. Just like the RDR, RDR2 also tells a great story about redemption. I wish the story could stop at Chapter 4 where everybody lives and enjoy the wild west life.

I’ve lived out on AZ for 4 years, worked out of the Reservations, and I’ve seen the vast deserts, Mesa’s, and the forest and mountains of Flagstaff area, and I can with absolute certainty (at least from my perspective) the game is more fun than the real thing. Hiking and horseback riding through the wilderness is great and all, but the heat, cold, bugs, poisonous snakes, unwanted tan (and still smelling like sunscreen), and all the other annoying stuff I can do without. The story is well written. The adventure is fun and fulfilling. If all games were this good, I wouldn’t be able to keep a stable job.

Controls: Gets a little getting used to but once you do, it is great. Graphics: So much better in 4k. Friend has it on regular Xbox One and the difference between the two is like night and day. Story: Phenomenal. Can't say anything more or else it might be a spoiler.

So of course it's amazing its RDR2. Graphics are jaw dropping. The game has amazing story but is bit slower then redemption. But that is intentional so people stop to take in the world and environment. I dont know many who would not love or appreciate this game.

The expanse of the digital world in this game is immense. It's larger than GTA5. Graphics are stunning. The realism is nearly indistinguishable from reality. Acting, voiceovers and sound effects are spot on. Got my nomination for Game Of The Year.
