I was not sure if it would fit well after reading other reviews, but it went in perfectly. The water it filters tastes very good. I used to purchase bottled water, but now I am saving money because the XWFE filter makes the water taste even better than the bottled water that I used to buy. And, if you read the instructions, you can request that GE send you a water filter plug, just in case you do not want to use the water feature. Or just in case you can't afford a new filter, and only want to use regular water. The only downside is that they are expensive.
