Technician

I should never have bought anything but GE. I strayed and bought another named Appliance. For the whole time I had it I put 4 ice makers in it! Long story short, I just gave that fridge to my neighbors to put in their garage…..they won’t need the ice maker. I have a GE stove and a GE dishwasher! GE is the best!!!

Refrigerator install

Great fridge, not worth this install/ waterline
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fridge was delivered on 12/23 and was told initially to make a few adjustments including have a plumber place a water valve, turn off the gas valve, move our gas stove, and remove the front door. Told to reschedule within 48 hours once we fixed the issues on my end but ultimately had to reschedule 5 different appointments for install and waterline. Communication with Best Buy representatives did not seem to know what they were talking about as some representatives scheduled 1 appointment for the install and waterline while others scheduled 2 separate appointments on different days. I only ever received a call once from someone about the waterline install stating the fridge needed to be installed first. Needed to reschedule fridge install 5 times because no one ever called or showed up during the scheduled time frame. No communication as to why the third party cancelled appointments. 1 star for poor communication, lack of respect, and lack of urgency. Went without a fridge for the holidays until 1/8 because we expected them to complete the job as scheduled. After never showing up for the last appointment, we decided to hire other people to install the fridge and water line.

Purchased installation of water line

Then when plumber arrived told me I needed to pay $170 additional to hook it up or he could leave and I could hirer another plumber! I am not the first person this has happened to. Best Buy assures me all costs included in installation. Interestingly, when I look up my bill and receipt no mention of this on bill. I would like a response from Best Buy haven't been able to reach so a 10 minute install became over a $300 bill. Beware!!

Proficient Professionals

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The appliances come with manuals that a very handy person could use to just install everything themselves (and maybe get it done a bit more customized), but the professionals do this all day every day and get it right in just a fraction of the time it takes to unpack the documents and page to the instructions. It's expensive, but to me it is worth it.

I love the size and the compartments to store food. I love the freezer on the bottom. The installer were very professional and knowledgeable when installing the refrigerator.

Assembled parts and accessories pretty well

The 2 guys took it upstairs thru a narrow entry and stairs, took it out of the box, assembled parts and accessories pretty well. They were unable to find the water line, so the water dispenser is not connected. My ice maker/water dispenser never got in use. The guy did leave a phone number so they can do a small construction to create a water line for it and gave me a quote though.

CHRISTMAS COMES SOONER

However, advanced installation for my refrigerator has been absolutely HORRIBLE. The refrigerator was delivered on 7/29. I have been through 6 cancelations/reschedules and 2 Days of no-shows with no contact/explanation. I understand issues arise and unforeseen events happen, but this is ridiculous. We have literally waited all day for an installer (who was supposed to come between the 7 am-1 pm slot) who never showed. We were never contacted by the provider and had to check in with Best Buy numerous times to try to get status updates throughout the afternoon with "they are still on the way" up until 8:30 pm when we finally get "we're sorry we will need to reschedule". Be wary if you have to use this service.

Installation Issue

I asked both in the store and their customer service rep (800 line). Both said they could install a new line, however, their installer told me they did not have the tools or skill set to do it and refunded me the money for the service.

Horrible experience

Called before they came. But, Showed up almost 1 hour late from when they said that they would be here. When they arrived, they were in a hurry. Both guys came dressed in street clothes. Trampled through our house with their dirty shoes on. Looked at our existing water line. Said that they wasn't able to install our fridge line at all. While rushing to the door. They said because the fittings will not line up. Told us it's our problem now. Suggested that we just go to Lowes and deal with it ourselves. Both left talking about how they needed to get to their next job, so they could done early. We ended up going to Menards to figure it out. People in the plumbing dept at Menards were exceptional! As Lowes were no help at all. We will never have another install from Best Buy ever!
