    Doesn’t control my trunk

    I am extremely happy that I can start my car now to warm up before I get inside. I also love being able to lock/unlock my doors with the push of a button but I was disappointed to find out trunk wouldn’t work after it was already installed.

      We apologize if that remote start isn't doing everything you had hoped. lease reach out to your local Autotech, if you have not already, to see if there are any options to get that trunk working.

    So thats what that curious blue blinking light is. They didnt tell me that part. Got a remote start installed and it wont start the car so i got it removed.

    Although the product works great, installer decided upon himself that I did not need a T-harness. Harness was part of package and the less invasive it is for my car the better. As an electrician myself, I understand it’s probably better to solder straight to connections, but that’s not the point. When they called to confirm appt 2 days from install I specifically asked if harness was in stock, which was confirmed. When I dropped my car off, I again asked for harness and it was shown to me. I left and came back several hours later and I see installer soldering and that’s when I asked, “I thought the purpose of t-harness was to avoid soldering”. His reply was “Its better this way”. Well it’s too late to ask for harness, damage is already done, so I let him finish. After taking home, reading instructions, and learning the system, I noticed flashers were not working with aftermarket, but works fine with factory fob. Thankfully it’s a lifetime warranty so I took to Best Buy near my house. It was installed at another location because of one month difference for installation. Installer near my house was very helpful and did what he can to troubleshoot. Seems like a wire may have been missed so now I must make another appt 3 weeks later. Hopefully if module is bad, Best Buy will warranty since I made appt 2 days after install.

    I am very pleased with the job that geek squad did for me installing my security system and remote start. I unfortunately am not happy with the lack of knowledge that the sales person had on the product. I was unaware of the additional service fee that Viper charges to use the app that we purchased for an additional cost that was all unnecessary. Overall the product works well.

    Can’t get remote start to do what it was advertised to do. The installer was rude and didn’t seem to take time to walk me though the products functions. It took a month to get car back into installer because the remote start quit working

    Was scheduled for 11:30 am to get my remote starter installed and was told maybe a 2 hour installation. I had to work that night at 5 pm so I went back at 3:30 pm after not receiving any notification about my car and was told that it would be done around 7-8 pm. Finally I receive a call at about 8:45 pm saying my car was done but there was no way I could pick it up so I had to leave my car there overnight. Went in the next day and talked to the manager and all that they said was that they were sorry. A 2 hour job turned into a 9 hour job. Thanks Best Buy

    Then when I get there they said I had to purchase another kit and store didn’t have so they ended up putting in another and had to give me a discount for their error

    Don't go to the West Mifflin, PA store to have this intalled!!! I was 5 minutes late and they would not take my car back even though there were no other appointments after me. They laughed at us lied to corporate saying I was 45 minutes late the exact amount of time of my phone she knew they were lieing. Had to reschedule for Monroeville and wait 2 more week. While they stood around doing nothing and the installer went out to smoke a couple of cigarettes!!

    viper remote start tooth installer 4 1/2 hours or more to install he had to get an additional (more expensive key faux because the original he couldn't get it to program he also hd to buy an additional wire harness because he said what came with box was not enough I spent about $100 more to get this working.

      This isn't the type of installation experience we want for anyone! Our Autotech's workmanship is covered under our lifetime labor warranty, and I would encourage you to work with the store who performed the initial installation if you have questions or concerns!
