I made the mistake once to use a generic filter for my GE fridge, it broke all the system. I had to spend like 200 on parts for saving 20 bucks on the filter. Buy the real filter, works great, water tastes great and you will never have a compatibility issue.

My town has good water but it tastes so much better when I use the water from my refrigerator dispenser. This filtering system works great. My dogs notice the difference and will drink more when I give them the filtered water than they will when I'm stuck giving them tap water. These water filters are also very easy to change out. I have never had a problem with them leaking either.

Great filter, works perfect. Unlike many reviews i read there was no leaking, no breaking, it was easy to install. My local hardware store didn't have it in stock.

I have been buying this same filter for my refrigerator for 11 years. It works well and have never had issues with it. I find it easy to install. I use to purchase it a big box supply store because I didn't know that Best Buy carried it. I will always purchase it from BB as they matched an extremely low price I found on the internet.

This filter works great for us and it's very handy to be able to have one automatically sent to us every 6 months. Also nice to get a price break for doing so.

Water filter does a great job removing that city water taste in water and ice. I get a good six plus months of use before the water stream gets very slow. It is very easy to remove and replace.
