RE5 is a really good game, and with the better resolution and frame rate its even better than before. The story is average but the gameplay is a ton of fun especially when playing with a friend

While the game isn't very scary and a big departure from the series, this is a fun co-op third person shooter and should be played with a friend. I wouldn't recommend playing this game alone as your partner's AI will get you killed, hence why I gave it four S.T.A.R.S.

I remember playing this years back on the 360. Really good game with some minor annoyances. This version comes in at 1080P and 60FPS on console. Makes gameplay really smooth, but only a slight jump up in graphics since it's an older engine. Good game overall.

This remaster is amazing and was one I was waiting for the ps4. In my opinion it was not better than part 4 but it tied the series together nicely. The mechanics are all there and it comes will all the dlcs from the previous version.

Not as great as the RE6 port, but still good

Earlier, Capcom released a port of RE6 and greatly improved on the technical aspects of the game for the current generation. And now a port of RE5 has released, and this small review will focus solely on the port aspects of the game. Graphics wise, the resolution and clarity has been bumped, but nothing as major as the RE6 port due to the release difference when the game first released, seems to be using the equivalent of the high graphics settings on PC. The game does not hold a steady 60FPS, but seems to hover at 50FPS for the majority of the game. Audio presentation is the same as the previous generation, supporting Dolby TS. This does come with all of the DLC, both single player and multiplayer. Strangely enough, you have to finish the game first before playing through the single player DLC, even though the previously released GOLD EDITION did not require you to do so.

Resident Evil 5 is Fun and Frantic

Thirteen years ago, Capcom helped revolutionize the action-adventure world with Resident Evil, a game that would define an entirely new genre dubbed "survival horror." In the years that followed, the series continued to build upon the standards set by the first game, until 2005, when Resident Evil 4 radically departed from its predecessors and broke new ground as a more action-oriented game. Resident Evil 5, the latest offering in the long-running series, expands on the action-heavy formula of its forerunner and is built from the ground up to support cooperative gameplay. Though it can no longer be considered a survival horror game, Resident Evil 5 manages to retain and effectively translate the most important aspect of that genre--tension--into its new mechanics, crafting a fun, collaborative experience that will keep you on your toes the entire time.

I already 100%'ed RE5 with a friend back on the 360, so given the chance to do it all again in a remastered edition with all the DLC included for such a low price was a no-brainer. It's definitely not the best game ever but it's a lot of fun in co-op.

Not Quite RE4 Caliber, But A Fun Game Nonetheless

After the success that is RE4, Capcom changed up the gameplay even more in part 5, making it even more action-based and less survival horror. Look past the racism critique and find a game that is worth your while to play.

Much like the Resident Evil 6 re-release, this is a very solid transfer onto current-gen consoles. It holds up pretty well graphically, there aren't any performance issues, and overall, it's still a very solid game. However, one thing I'd like to warn potential new players about is the game's "stop-and-shoot" mechanic, meaning that instead of being able to move while you use weapons like in countless other 3rd person action games, you can't move while you aim and shoot. It was super jarring when I first jumped back in, and while I'm sure I'll be able to settle into it again having played it before, new players who haven't played this before may find this mechanic off-putting. Overall, though, definitely worth the 20 bucks, and a very well-done re-release from Capcom again.

This is what you could consider to be the definative version of the game. It comes with all DLC and updated HD visuals. As far as game play its the same fun as before. Only down side is not to many player's online. Great valve overall

This was a really fun game! The mercenaries mode alone is almost worth it. Great for playing with a friend! The AI controlling your partner can be a little frustrating at times if playing by yourself.

This is Resident Evil 5 -This is the EXACT same game we got when the gold edition came out in early 2010. - The game actually looks a bit sharper like the RE6 PS4 edition. - It takes 17 GB of space on your HD and includes all the DLC. That's really it, $20 dollars isn't bad for the game, but if you didn't like it before.....this may not change your mind much. This actually happens to be my least favorite Resident Evil, but in my eyes at this price it's worth another shot and so far I am enjoying it much more. Why 5 stars? The game is cheap, looks great, plays well and while it may not be my favorite Resident Evil I can appreciate the time Capcom put into this re-release. Hope this Helps.

This is a gorgeous looking remaster that runs at 60fps; furthermore, its a fun action-packed thrill ride from beginning to end, and it's a great value because it includes all the DLC.

I thought the game was pretty fun but I believe that it's dated for it's time. The only reason it's still fun today is because you can play the story with a co-op partner or online competitively with 4 players.
