Resident Evil 6 is considered the weakest of the Resident Evil main franchise. There are many reasons for this such as the Michael Bay stylized frequent explosions and set pieces to the rampant Quick Time Events. The story isn't the best and there is a lot of backtracking with all the individual campaigns. For those who favor the traditional survivor horror experience, you will find it strange to be using cover shooting in a Resident Evil game. Nevertheless, the game's combat system is more fleshed out and being able to shoot, while moving is a huge plus compared to earlier games (the Revelation games have adopted this). The more in-depth melee and countering system gives you more option aside from just using your guns. The game's story is also a decent length with four campaigns each lasting about five hours each. Fortunately, you don't have to babysit your A.I. partner though the game is best played in co-op. The best part about this remaster is that the game runs at a higher framerate that usually hits 60 fps. For RE6, this is a huge improvement since the game's combat is much more faster paced compared to earlier entries. This version also includes all the DLC for mercenaries and the various mode. If you haven't played RE6 yet, this is the version to get and for the price it's definitely worth picking up given its wealth of content.

My nephew and I, were looking for a 2 player co-op shooting game. We searched and search and could not find a single one, that wasn't like a small kids game. Finally we came across resident evil and it was perfect for what we wanted. The 2 player split screen wasn't the best but it served its purpose for me to have some fun with the nephew for the weekend.

I was worried that the game would well, suck but I have since had that worry put to rest. I wouldn't say this is my favorite RE game but it is one that I'm glad to have bought.

My boys love zombie games and this one is in their top 5. This game actually was a 2nd purchase after the 1st was broken accidentally.

Resident Evil 6 was even more divisive than its predecessor. It is probably the most controversial game in the series but still remains a fun addition, albeit so far removed from Resident Evil's origins that its hard to see how the earlier games are related. The game provides three or four different scenarios which is new to the series and again includes co-op.

I actually really enjoyed this game. The format of intertwined stories makes for a good overall storytelling experience. The combat was great, moving and shooting is a welcome addition to the mechanics. I had the most fun playing with a friend either split-screen or online. My favorite storyline was definitely Leon's. Get it for that at least.

Let's get right to the point: the series pretty much peaked with Resident Evil 4. This game is not nearly as good as that one, but if you're a fan of the series and the lore, it's still a decent get. Not really worth it if you already have it for the PS3, but if you've never owned it/played it, it's cheap enough now to justify the purchase.

Resident Evil 6 is, in my opinion, the weakest numbered RE game. However, I have enjoyed this remastered version way more than when I first played it on PS3. Gameplay feels much smoother and more fluid. That said, nothing else about the game seems to have changed, so if you had issues with the original version, those will still be present here

Resident Evil 6 is very different to the earlier Resident Evil games, the focus here is very much on action over survival horror. It has a lot of content but it does have questionable controls. Some of the character campaigns are very weak or are not designed well.

I have to say as a RE fan, this game was okay but could have been so much better. It wasn't much of a horror, more of an action game with a lot of Quick Time gameplay that took the thrill of actually controlling the game away. I liked being able to play as Wesker's son though.

Love the graphics upgrade and highly recommend the game. It has a nice blend of interwoven stories and is a great addition to the franschise.

While opinions of Resident 6 being a "resident evil" game are mixed, this small review is focused solely on the port aspects of the game compared to the original PS3 and 360 versions. Graphic quality has definitely been bumped up in clarity and resolution, and the frame rate is a steady 60FPS for almost the entire game. Audio presentation is the same, with Dolby TS supported from the previous generation. All the dlc is included with this port as well, but its primarily for multiplayer/mercenaries. For $20, the value honestly can't be beat.

A lot of people dont enjoy this game but personally, i love couch co-op games so i can play with friends or my brother. It makes it more enjoyable for me to progress through a journey and story with someone else. The inly downside is that its more of action than it is horror, but it was also cool seeing old characters reunite.

I have the PS3 version of this game and my sister and I enjoyed the story alot. It is nice to play and see the revamped graphics for the PS4..

I think in general the game makes some great leaps forward but suddenly gets pulled back by a king of chaotic way of packaing in so many stories. I’d say check out the game if you want more resident evil action but it’s definitely not a vital game to play in the resident evil series.

Really fun game, especially for the money it costs. Challenging and keeps you on your toes! Very fun with a co-op partner. My only complaint is that the controls take some getting used to. Definitely should be improved in future RE games but it has been the same since RE:4, so I doubt they will. Not a deal breaker, though.

So when, RE 0,1,2,4,& 5 are a steal as Deals of the Day (What no RE3?) how can you pass up RE 6? Can't when it is on sale too! Good game play and good graphics. Nice in-game additions to the story line. Guess you have to be just a little obsessed to keep supporting the franchise, but it is one of the better ones.

Resident Evil 6 initially wasn't for everyone, as they moved away from the genre and game felt more like a Gears. But after the remaster, I would recommend everyone giving this game a second chance. For one, the price alone with all the DLC makes it worth it. The frame rate and updated visuals is a plus as well!

this remake of RE6 is great the graphics upgrade is great and you can really tell the difference when play just be prepared to die a lot
