Excellent! 10/10
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Resident Evil returns in probably the scariest installment of the series yet. In depth story, horrifying elements, and if you have the VR (which I do), it is a game that will offer you multiple revisits. You will not be disappointed. Do it!

Great entry into the series.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Resident Evil 7 is a great entry into the series. With near phot realistic graphics, amazing sound, and tons of creepy atmosphere, you will be terrified and love every second of it. This is especially true for PSVR which is a game changer.

Great comeback to horror, still not quite RE
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing game! I bought it and played it all the way through the first time with PSVR, and that was amazing. I am an old Schoolboy RE fan since ps1 original and I love the first few. Ever since 4 it started to go downhill progressively worse and faster each time. They tried to cater to to many gamestyle types. I’m glad to say that his was a huge leap back to there hooror roots. The game is an amazing horror game, but for die hard original fans like myself. We can argue that it’s sill not quite RE. There’s not much in this game that would make someone instantly realize it’s part of that franchise, which is good and bad. I wa very happy with it, and hope they continue going in this direction, but will bring back a bit more of the original points that made RE so loved.

Welcome Back To Horror
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a Resident Evil fan since the 90's which means that I've seen the high and lows of the series. After the dismal experience of Resident Evil 6, I didn't have high expectations for Resident Evil 7. Capcom delivered in aces! I know that the First Person view might seem discouraging to some gamers but let me tell you that this game might not have worked if it was done in the traditional Resident Evil camera angles. The jump scares are random and fun along with some really messed up gore. And the story! This game starts off with a horror movie vibe that gets better the further the player goes. I won't reveal spoilers but I can say that the plot has you guessing until the end. You want a fun and scary game? Welcome to Resident Evil 7.

Don't wait - get this title now
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like many longtime gamers, the Resident Evil series is near and dear to their hearts. I’ve played the entire series, and some of the installments, many times over. However, the installments since Resident Evil 4 (the best in the series), have lost the “it” factor that made the series unique. Resident Evil 5 moved more action based, and Part 6 was all action, that the series lost the horror element. Not Resident Evil 7. This game changes the formula to a first person based game, but goes back to the tense, ammo scarce, horror game that the series was – yet adds new elements to the game. This game takes influences from western and eastern horror genres, and melds them into a intriguing, and immersive, story. Looking at the game you ask, is this a Resident Evil game in title only? The answer is no – but be aware that this is in the same universe as you come to expect. Graphics: Breathtaking 9/10 The graphics are make you look twice – anyone fans of found film movies, or even the torture film genre, will find the visuals in this game well done. Take some time to watch to look at the detail of the environment. Little touches in lighting, leaves, pictures, and shadows really take this game up a notch. If playing in 4k/HDR, this looks as if you are playing a VHS video, and the environments look real and full. Sound: Amazing – 9.5/10 The sounds, music, effects, and voices take you immediately into the game and you can get lost into it. Surround sound / headphones are a must so you can hear the uttering, chanting, and footsteps in this fun house of a game. The sounds are enough to make you yell out loud. Gameplay: Spectacular – 9/10 Smooth animations, smart A.I., brilliant level design, and different possibilities for battles make this game fun. Easy puzzles, especially for this series, is the one thing that is a knock against this game. Younger gamers may not think so, but those familiar with the series will see that this is extremely easy. Overall, the gameplay is different from the past, and in a good way. The first person perspective is a refreshing change of pace – and the dialogue / story is well thought out. Replay Value – Amazing 9.5/10 Even without multiplayer, this game has high replay value. You get to choose your own path, make your own choices, all which affect the outcome of the game. The game will take you anywhere from 12 to 16 hours to complete, but you will want to do it again. Overall – Near Perfect 9.5/10 I am a fan of First-Person-Shooters (FPS) and all that is associated with them. This is a FPS technically, but it is so much more. It takes a tired, lost Resident Evil series, and breathes new life into it. It may be FPS, but it is survival horror and scavenging that the roots of this series introduced 20 years ago. The story details and ideas that went in this game prove that the mix of Western horror and Eastern horror can mix in story telling – There are a few quirks in this game, but it was fun. Resident Evil 7 is labeled as a survival horror first person shooter, but it is so much more. It takes a tired series and made a game that I am recommending to everyone. It was such a surprise – that I have not felt this way about a game in years. It has elements taken from past RE games, such puzzles, jump scares, scavenging, and action-adventure, and brings it to the now – not a tired old Umbrella story. Spending time with this game, it is apparent that Capcom wanted to create a statement, also to create a cinematic game, and different experience in a game – one not felt in a Resident Evil game before. RE7 took a chance to be different, and it worked. This game is gorgeous, involved, and deep - and it is not the same experience for everyone. The experience and horror is different for each user, which just shows you how much time and thought went into this game. With this much depth, it is hard to compare it to something else out right now, and you can’t. It is the perfect January release – for when game releases slow, the lull of winter sets in, and the year is just starting. Typically, when I play a game that I truly enjoy, I have a wow moment – maybe two. This game made me do that several different times. Maybe they weren’t WOW moments - more like OH SH$# moments. This game is definitely worth checking out, and I hope that it does not get lost in the with an early spring release, but for 2017, it is already in my GAMES OF THE YEAR list.

WHOA!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Forget haunted houses. This is freaking scary. Play it with some good headphones. You won't last the whole way through without taking off the VR headset. Also, I get motion sick when I play VR car racing games, not on this one. Movement is great and the game is just sick. Play this with the VR, the only way to play this.

Amazing!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was on the fence about this game. I wasn't sure if I would like it enough to want to play it again once I finished it. I took a chance on this game and I do not regret it at all. It's one of the best experiences I've had in gaming. If you're a fan of the horror genre, this is a must have. It's addicting, fun to play and the story is intriguing. Even though it's part of a huge franchise you don't really need to know the history. It is its own game but there are enough callbacks to the series and it does fit well in the world of Resident Evil. But if you're like me and don't know a whole lot about the series you'll still enjoy this game. I personally love it. This is the first great game of 2017. I hope this helps and thanks for reading!

Capcom got it right!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a huge fan of Resident Evil 2 as well as 5 and some of the games from the series have been a major letdown. However, this one didn't disappoint. Scary as heck and difficult at times. This game is best played with the lights off. You will be in for a thriller. The story line and graphics are amazing as well.

RE is back in top form, back to its roots!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.RE7 is a return to form for the franchise, going back to its roots of survival horror, and going all in with a first person perspective, which benefits the game greatly. I am especially delighted that a real Virtual Reality mode is offered for PSVR users like myself and give a great example of the potential of VR. Is the VR experience perfect yet? No, but this is a peak into the future and if we support these VR games/PSVR during their growing pains, we will help usher in a new way to play with refined VR experiences that will only get better and better. If you have PSVR or plan to, get this game, it's that simple, ESPECIALLY if you are able to get it at a discount sale of some kind. Highly recommended!

Best in VR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is hands down one of the best games you can buy for PSVR. You can choose to play the whole game in VR or on your TV. All in all it took me about 25 hours to make it through the whole game but could be longer if you don't rush like me. I did the whole game in VR and didn't feel any motion sickness

I was impressed!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did not really know what RE7 was about before playing. I thought it was a regular third person Resident Evil game with just zombies. However, this one is solely only first person game play. I like that it has many different settings you can play with as far as camera movement. I get dizzy at times when I play a first person game too much. The game allowed me to slow down motion/ camera movement in order to not cause that much dizziness to myself. The graphics and story line had me out of my seat! The story and game play had me very frighten, but at the same time I was excited to see how each scenario would play out. I haven't had so much interest on a story line and felt so much creepiness since the first Silent Hill game! In which I do not put this game in the category as past Resident Evil's, it's totally different. My only negative would be that their wasn't a third person option for a "Resident Evil" game. At the same time this game was made to pair up with PlayStation VR, which I can imagine should push it too 5 stars with other reviewers.

Biohazard Returns!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The switch to first person has allowed a new level of immersion and terror, especially with HDR and 5.1 surround sound. This is a return to form for the series. A true survival horror experience on par with the original game, including ammo scarcity and tough boss fights. This is one of the most graphically impressive games currently on the market, yet has no trouble maintaining 60 fps. This game is a technical and artistic masterpiece, despite being somewhat short. I would recommend to fans of the series, fans of horror games, and fans of first person shooters. However, some players might be turned off by the excessive gore.

Love This Game!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had some doubts about this game when I first heard about it, after Resident Evil 5 I didn't play any of the other games and I feel like I made a good choice not buying any of them. Resident Evil 5 is a fast pace sort of game not really giving any creepy vibe just a another first person shooter, but RE5 was still a great game to play. Now Resident Evil 7 on the other hand goes back to it Horror Roots, just like the old Resident Evil games. Right from the beginning of the game you don't know what to expect, it has you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. This game would of been even better if I had Playstation VR.

RE7 goes back to the series roots
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Some people say that just becaue it's in first-person that it "Isn't" Resident Evil, but it really is. It's scary and has so much tension. I loved every bit of it. Definitely better than RE5 and RE6, but can't compare to the classics. Still worth it though!
