Resident Evil movies have never been great cinema, but always fun. First time I rented this, I was not impressed, just meh, not one I thought I'd watch again. Then it happened to be cheap on 3D blu-ray so I figured what the heck. Ok, so 3D doesn't make the movie great, but it certainly makes it more fun. I'll call it "good" now, 4 stars, as long as you don't expect much and find it cheap.

Bought this for the new style, Pop Art Steelbook that the series has ran, another cash grab, but I hadn't even owned one and the whole series in the same style is pretty nice and they were decently priced. These are the greatest films, and while they get progressively worse by opinion. I couldn't help but enjoy them for what they are. Fun, zombie killing action flick.

Really good, started where the other left off. Giving Alice a family was a nice touch, someone to protect. Love the dual roles for several of the actors was awesome. Love the different locales to fight in. Chancellor Wescot switches sides and becomes good, and the computer goes rogue, nice touch. Plus Alice gets her powers back, in the hope to now save the world. Looking forward to the next Resident Evil.

I've enjoyed each entry of the franchise to some extent, but after a slow (but beautifully filmed) fourth installment, Retribution marks a return to form for the franchise. As an action movie it succeeds where few do: The action continues to escalate, ending in one of the best fight scenes I've ever seen. The three women involved are turn in a fight that even your best male action stars would have a tough time matching. The storytelling also improves, making you eager for the next installment that promises to tie up some loose ends. Audio and video are top notch.

Overall good action and story. Interesting to see the old characters in different roles (their clones anyway). The first time I saw the movie, I was disappointed because the only trailer I saw beforehand showed highlights of the end part of the movie, and I was expecting Retribution to be about that. Still a good Resident Evil movie.

I will say, I am a sucker for this series. That being said. I really enjoyed this movie. It looks and sounds amazing. If you are a fan of the series then you know what to expect. The action is fast paced and the blood is flying. Again if you like the series watch this movie. The is the best one since 2 in my own opinion.

I bought it on a lark; because it was on sale, and because I had a couple others from the collection. It's one of those series of movies that really "feel like' a campy B sci/fi-horror flick but it was till fun to watch. Fun enough that I'm going to complete the collection as the movies present themselves to me.

We bought this now that we finally got the glasses for our 3D projector. The storyline is a bit out there or maybe I missed a movie in the series along the way lol Regardless the 3D is pretty decent definitely not as good as any animated 3D movie... but pretty good all the same.

This is a great movie I love the entire resident Evil franchise I already owned all 5 movies but when bestbuy released them all on Steelbook I had to get them all again. Let me say the artwork on each Steelbook looks awesome I love it. Another positive thing about this is each movie comes with $7.50 eMovie cash to go see the new resident Evil final chapter in theaters 1/27/17 so that's another big +

Milla Jonavich and husband director Paul WS Anderson have done it again! They have made this movie series an fantastic series to follow. And to think that many people thought it wouldn't last past the first movie. They didn't think a movie based on a video game would grow to many sequels. Each as anticipated as the last. It is a testament to the filmmakers that give us these movies that evolve and don't become stale or predictable.

I remember playing the original Resident Evil game & watched all the movies once they came out. Maybe a bit corny at times but still enjoyable. Can't remember exactly what happens in this one & haven't watched the bluray just yet because I purchased to add to my kids Christmas stockings.

I'm a sucker for the Resident Evil franchise. They're not the best films in the world but they're a guilty pleasure of mine (Milla!). I prefer the live action films over the animated series but now that they have collided in Retribution, I am fully immersing myself in the entire cinematic mythos.

I'll make this quick, some ghosting and minimal crosstalk. Good 3D pop effects here and there. Story is a typical resident evil film as usual, is a definite buy for 10 bucks or at least that was the price when I bought it. Not in the top 3D bluray, but pretty good. I hope this review helps my fellow 3d lovers.

This is the 5th film in the Resident Evil series derived from the playstation one video game of the same name. A little more gets explained with the same basic story of Alice and her friends fighting Zombies, but this one set's up the final movie coming out in 2017.

All good things must come to an end, unless of course you are Alice and this franchise... Back to the rabbit hole, Raccoon City, and more bad guys from The Umbrella Corp. who will not learn. Originally, this was the end, until they found one more story to tell, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter was just released last month which is ending the franchise, until then, Blue/ Red?

This film doesn't offer any surprises, but after 5 films, we're already invested in the same old-same old. Doing new things would change the franchise in a way viewers likely won't appreciate. We want Mila, we want zombies, and we want the Umbrella logo. That's about it.

I love the Resident Evil series and part five is no exception. In my opinion, it's a step up from part four which was immensely boring. While the action may look like it's secluded to only one setting, it finds surprising and engaging ways around that plot point. Great movie overall.

I think that "Resident Evil: Retribution" is ne of the greatest horror films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite horror films of all-time. I really enjoyed all of the action, mystery, suspense, drama and horror that kept this film very entertaining and enjoyable. I also think that "Resident Evil: Retribution" had a really great cast, plot and storylines as well.

Movie looks great, and sound great too. It is one of the better Resident Evil movies but that's not saying much. The Resident Evil series is ok. It has more than enough bad acting and cheesy plots, but come on, its a zombie movie. You know what you are getting into when you watch it.

I hated this movie when I first saw it in the theaters. Being a Resident Evil movie fan, I felt the films were getting better especially with the new director on the helm of the last one. But, wouldn't you know, once Paul W.S. Anderson caught wind of somebody making his baby better, he had to take it away, and throw more monsters and mayhem sans a decent storyline. Yes, it is like watching a video game. But, this is a movie! Picture and sound are top notch. The ladies look great, especially Milla. The CGI is a little much. But, it does have some redeeming value on a second view. If you're a fan, you'll want to add this to the collection anyway, in hopes that "Final Chapter" is somewhat better.
