My old cable was always a bit iffy. I wasnt sure if the problem was the car or the cable. It was the cable and this cable works great Most of the cables I found in stores were super long and I didnt want to have all that extra cable in my little car compartment. When I saw the retractable I thought i'd try it. It's great so far.

Purchased this to replace a cheaper aux cable that developed a fatigue failure. This one doesn't jam easily when retracting like the cable it replaced, has a nice, thickly insulated wire which should limit failure from fatigue, and a lifetime warranty.

Nice, organizes cords but sometimes takes a few tries to wind back up.

Works fine. Like that I can retract it back when I'm done using it so my cord won't be all over the place.

This is better quality than I expected it to be when I ordered it. The retracting feature is really nice and helps keep things organized. The only downside I've experienced so far is that the weight of the plastic casing that houses the cord when it is fully retracted, is a little "heavy". When the cord is plugged into a vehicle stereo, the weight of the casing pulls on the device that is plugged in e.g. phone, iPod, etc.

I like having the ability to adjust the length of the cord according to my needs. I don't like it that the spool is always exactly in the middle. It would be better to be able to pull one side of the cord out at a time. The weight of the spool puts a strain on the cord. The sound output works just fine.

Just needed a cable to be able to run my old school mp3 player, this worked.

I bought this to use with an MP3 player in my truck. I did not realize at the time that the part that houses the cord during storage ALWAYS remains in the center of the cord. If you pull one side out, the other side does the same. This presents an issue when trying to put the MP3 player somewhere accessible if you don't want the cord banging around on your dashboard. Storing the cord is simple and much nicer than normal cords and the angle of one of the connectors helps reduce stress on the cord when plugged in. Knowing what I know now, I would have gone with a normal cord had I known what this one would be like.

Impulse buy. Saw at the register and decided to try. Works great and the cord winds back up so it doesn't get tangled. Has lifetime warranty.

You get what you'd expect for $14...a retractable auxiliary cord that is average. After using it a few times, it seems like it's cheaply made and could break if not handled with care. Definitely not heavy duty or for rugged use. Unless you absolutely require a retractable auxiliary cord, I would select a non-retractable, standard cord the exact length you'll need.

i really like how this cord is retractable because my cords tend to get tangle together. when i am in a rush, i do not have time to untangle them.

When you dont want a tangled mess of cords in your vehicle for charging all your devices, this retractable works great.
