    Best iPhone headset

This is the best Non-Samsung headset available for the price. The straps adjust to fit most heads just fine. The lenses are as clear as it gets for the resolution the phones put out (using an iPhone 6). What sets this apart from other options are the dial adjustments and phone mounting. The phone is held in with a sprint tension clip. That's not totally unique but it will hold the phone with case in place firmly which is a big requirement for me. The second feature that made a world of difference is how the focal distance is adjusted with two (linked) dials. Once it's set, there is much less chance the dial shifts on its own. On other headsets that are just direct sliders, tilting the headset can make the adjustment change which is really annoying. Not with these. The last feature that made a big difference is the IPD adjustment is linked so when one eye moves in or out, the other does as well. While this doesn't allow for quite as precise adjustment, it is much easier to get right for me than when each eye is individually adjustable. For people with one eye closer to the nose it will be a problem but for most symmetrical faces this is a huge ease in adjustment. Plus again the adjustment is on a wheel rather than just sliding a piece of loose fitting plastic directly back and forth, making this hold the adjustment in place much better. Is this on par with rift/vice/psvr? Not close. Is it worth $30 to turn your phone into a new gaming/movie device? Absolutely. Plus no wires means you can take it with you much easier than a PC/console VR set. If something happens to this headset I'll buy another of this 360 model to replace it.

When you pick this headset up, you have to understand what you're getting. This is very much a budget, low-end, try-for-the-frist-time VR headset that is powered by your phone. Its neat to play with more than anything. Personally, I wanted to see where the technology has evolved to. I was, and currently am not interested in shelling out hundreds of dollars in order to get VR going. Not to mention that other solutions require a high end PC to run the applications for VR. Maybe in a few years I'll be willing to spend that on VR, but it is still very early in. This particular headset will allow you to test a few apps. I have an iPhone 6S and it works well enough. The "screen size" is a bit small and clarity is reasonable. The "action button" does not work for anything I have tested it on. Also, I have to remove my phone from its case for the headset to close and latch. The front plate is actually held closed with a magnet, so if you're not careful, you might send your phone flying. Anyway about it, you can download a bunch of apps that will allow you to test-drive VR. Google has several, one of which is similar to street view which will allow you to visit famous locations all over the world! Would I recomend this to a friend? Sure, like I said, its a cheap and easy way to get into and test VR.

OK. I need to start by saying that this devise cost less than $20.00 and, therefore, my expectations should be pretty low. In spite of that, I'm not sure this $20.00 was well spent. The good news is that the Utopia 360° is reasonably sturdy. The focus adjustments are short of excellent, but not bad! The devise certainly allows the user to experience the visual virtual reality experience. Fun! And, the devise nice accommodates my iPhone 6. That's good too. Another positive is that the 360° is fairly comfortable - at least for short periods. For me, the biggest drawback is that I have found no easy way to control the videos while they are running. The solution appears to be that the user must take off the devise and open it in order to pause or stop the app. Inconvenient! The inconvenience is enough to have me thinking about returning the product; no decision yet. I am happy to have given this item a try, but it is average - at best!

Great value for getting into VR. I’ve seen other reviews that said they didn’t fit with someone wearing glasses, but I was able to wear mine and it was actually really comfortable. It fit my iPhone 6 Plus, but I had to remove my case. The sliding door is nicer than other versions I’ve seen since it won’t detach or get lost and you need it to block outside light. The turn-style adjustment knobs were much easier to use than other sliders-styles I’ve tried. This is easily the best value and quality for any of the models that are selling for under $100 including the Samsung Gear VR which only fits specific phones. I’m pretty darn happy with the price for such a great headset. There’s lots of great video content out there if you know where to look.

It's great when it works, but there's a fatal design flaw, other than the extremely cheap plastic this thing is made of. The front of the headset opens downwards, so the hinge is on the bottom of the front of the headset, but the latch is a magnet. A very weak magnet. So if you look down for too long, or if your phone isn't the smallest and thinnest of phones, the front is falling open and out flies your phone. The other issue is that the holders on the inside of this hinged flap are cheap plastic and again only fit very thin phones. If your phone is too thick, the springed latches don't latch around your phone and the phone is not secured until you close the flap. Overall, it simply can't hold a phone securely enough to warrant a purchase. Not to mention the field of view is VERY narrow and there is only a very small amount of adjustment that can be made to the lenses. As reference, I have a Droid Turbo, so it's not the thinnest and lightest, but it should be able to fit any headset just as well.

Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to try out VR. It has an amazing build quality and comfort which some costlier VR headsets won't have. I'm seeing lot of costlier ones such as Noon VR, FreeflyVR, Merge which doesn't make sense because the only things that matters are lens and comfort wearing it and Utopia is surely good at these things. Comfortable wearing it for long period of time. Try with the phones that support 1080p video playback (6S, S7 etc..). You won't be disappointed.

I bought this for my son for Christmas and I was told it worked with both androids and iPhones. My son can not get it to work with his Iphone. The Salesman said it would work with both but it doesn't unless we are doing something wrong. We tried it on my Android and it was working. Just did the very first step I guess you would say where it kinda shows you a few virtual 3D items. But again it was for my son who has an iPhone. I will recommend for Android users only. Not for iPhone users

    For $19.99 it's a good product. Doesn't fit 6+

The build quality was higher than expected from a $19.99. It still feels like a brittle plastic but it's comfortable, the straps are easily adjustable and the lenses aren't bad. Problem I had with it was I have a 6+. No where on the site or on the product does it specify what dimensions it supports which is not a good thing. If you have a smaller phone than I do and want VR this isn't a bad way to start.

The Utopia 360 headset surprised me. The headset was on sale for $20, so I decided to give the VR experience a try. I was so surprised by the experience, I had to take the Utopia headset with me everywhere I went. I have a lot of videos/movies on my phone, so during breaks I would watch movies on the headset, an it was like I was in a movie theater by myself. Warning, when using a VR headset make sure that you're in a safe environment, because you become vulnerable when wearing the VR headset. The experience is amazing, but be careful when using.

I wanted to see what the VR craze was all about, and wanted a little more than the cardboard viewer - so this was a good price for a more comfortable headset to have a go at the VR experience. Overall it gives a good feel for the VR and fits a couple of phones without any problem, including a larger 5.5 inch screen. Improved the experience with some "look and click" apps that helped use the various VR videos and programs available. Worth the investment if you can catch it on sale and want to get an idea of how the VR works.

Comfortable and functional - to an extent. It inexplicably has no way to access the screen while the phone is locked inside. I thought it was just me, so I exchanged it for the one with the bluetooth controller, and I couldn't make that function either. I contacted their customer service and was told they were retooling the device for a future re-release; no word yet. Sooo....Unofficial Cardboard works just fine.

I purchased this VR Headset for my little brothers on their birthday. They’ve both used it a good amount and have had a lot of fun with it. It’s definitely a base model headset though. You can’t play games that require a controller and the adjustments for caliberating the sight is a little cheap. But, it gets the job done as far as entertaining VR Headsets go. Great gift for anyone looking to experience VR in a visual sense rather than a gaming sense.

The main issue is the holder tends to hit the buttons on the phone and change volume or bring up the power menu. If they designed a sharp curve or slit into the holder to avoid pressing the buttons on my phone it would of gonna a 4 star for the price. When its not pressing the buttons it focuses well. I really enjoy watching 360 3D videos on it. Once they fix this issue of random button pressing while using it, I would totally recommend buying one.

This headset does its job well. It's not too heavy, has a strap to be handsfree, and fits my iPhone 6 in a LifeProof case. There are horizontal and depth adjustment knobs. There's also a window to allow camera use for augmented reality. The only thing I would like to have is a button that would allow Google Cardboard compatibility. The build quality is also acceptable, but could be more solid--especially when using the depth knobs.

I bought the headset because it looked like a great value, but come to find out it doesn't have the button needed to use most google VR apps. Works good as something to watch a movie with, but for games or anything else you can't use it without the needed button so it's not for me.

These are fine I suppose, but there is so little to do with them. They are awkward to load and the visual comes from your phone and I never figured out what I was supposed to be doing with them. I can't recommend them for anything. Might not be a bad product if the buyer knows why they are buying them.

Not too impressed as the apps for it are kind of generic with tons of ads! Does not fit on head well and there is too much light coming through the sides. Sometimes it freezes and can be a bummer when your suppose to feel part of something that fails to continue, haha! Bought for our 14 yr old so probably aimed at people younger given my perspective on it over all

The headset is comfortable and can scan in as Google cardboard for content. no problem but there is no select button when you look at your selection in the headset. So you can only view things and not interact. You can open the headset door and touch the selection on the phone but that is dumb when a simple select button on the outside of the headset would be best.

This is an OK headset to begin with, but the returned mine and purchased the model with the remote control. It was too combersome to flip open the lid to make adjustments to volume or playback. Having said this, optical adjustments are minimum and there is a little pixelation in the display. It's good for the money, but don't expect a seamless experience.

I bought this model to try VR with my iPhone 7. Returned it the next day. The good: Set-up was easy and the unit was comfortable to wear. The bad: The phone holder felt fragile and unlikely to hold up for long. The "action" button did nothing. The ugly: The left lens holder was loose and the lens itself terribly distorted (visible defects).
