Great value for getting into VR. I’ve seen other reviews that said they didn’t fit with someone wearing glasses, but I was able to wear mine and it was actually really comfortable. It fit my iPhone 6 Plus, but I had to remove my case. The sliding door is nicer than other versions I’ve seen since it won’t detach or get lost and you need it to block outside light. The turn-style adjustment knobs were much easier to use than other sliders-styles I’ve tried. This is easily the best value and quality for any of the models that are selling for under $100 including the Samsung Gear VR which only fits specific phones. I’m pretty darn happy with the price for such a great headset. There’s lots of great video content out there if you know where to look.

I purchased this VR Headset for my little brothers on their birthday. They’ve both used it a good amount and have had a lot of fun with it.
It’s definitely a base model headset though. You can’t play games that require a controller and the adjustments for caliberating the sight is a little cheap.
But, it gets the job done as far as entertaining VR Headsets go.
Great gift for anyone looking to experience VR in a visual sense rather than a gaming sense.

I really liked this VR kit in the beginning, but then a few days later it got really boring. I think the lack of apps for it really hurts it, if you are curious in VR this is a cheap way to do it, but having no remote is really a deal breaker. I still own it, but I almost never use it.

Does''t have a select button on the side, needs the remote to be highly functional. For viewing panorama photos it's great. A few games work, but not all. For the price, you can't beat it, the bluetooth controller alone is worth it

It will work but don't expect amazing results. If you've used a gear VR expect to be disappointed. The FOV is terrible, basically a square in front of your eyes. If that doesn't matter to you then this will work just fine. Otherwise spend a little more to get a better experience.

This unit works great with my Samsung phone, and it does what it is designed to do, just dont expect it to work like a real VR costing upwards of $500

It's great when it works, but there's a fatal design flaw, other than the extremely cheap plastic this thing is made of. The front of the headset opens downwards, so the hinge is on the bottom of the front of the headset, but the latch is a magnet. A very weak magnet. So if you look down for too long, or if your phone isn't the smallest and thinnest of phones, the front is falling open and out flies your phone. The other issue is that the holders on the inside of this hinged flap are cheap plastic and again only fit very thin phones. If your phone is too thick, the springed latches don't latch around your phone and the phone is not secured until you close the flap. Overall, it simply can't hold a phone securely enough to warrant a purchase. Not to mention the field of view is VERY narrow and there is only a very small amount of adjustment that can be made to the lenses. As reference, I have a Droid Turbo, so it's not the thinnest and lightest, but it should be able to fit any headset just as well.

This is a great product But the remote to me seem not to stay setup and didn't work when I needed it to ..they have another model at Best Buy without it and you can save yourself 10 bucks...otherwise this a great way to get a feel of vr ....make sure to look for all the free apps that are for cardboard...they work with this type be aswell

When you pick this headset up, you have to understand what you're getting. This is very much a budget, low-end, try-for-the-frist-time VR headset that is powered by your phone. Its neat to play with more than anything.
Personally, I wanted to see where the technology has evolved to. I was, and currently am not interested in shelling out hundreds of dollars in order to get VR going. Not to mention that other solutions require a high end PC to run the applications for VR. Maybe in a few years I'll be willing to spend that on VR, but it is still very early in.
This particular headset will allow you to test a few apps. I have an iPhone 6S and it works well enough. The "screen size" is a bit small and clarity is reasonable. The "action button" does not work for anything I have tested it on. Also, I have to remove my phone from its case for the headset to close and latch. The front plate is actually held closed with a magnet, so if you're not careful, you might send your phone flying.
Anyway about it, you can download a bunch of apps that will allow you to test-drive VR. Google has several, one of which is similar to street view which will allow you to visit famous locations all over the world!
Would I recomend this to a friend? Sure, like I said, its a cheap and easy way to get into and test VR.

Overall, it does the bare minimum. Holds a phone tightly and is well vented so the phone doesnt overheat. The head band is comfortable enough. The biggest issue was with the screen selector. Tried multiple phones and apps and it just wouldnt read on the phone. My google cardboard worked better and it was free.
