My nephew has recently really gotten into Kung Fu and martial arts movies. I thought this would be a great one for him. I (and he) wasn't disappointed.

From the director of the iconic cult kung fu movie classic Five Deadly Venoms, Chang Cheh comes this action packed kung fu movie starring kung fu champion Chen Kuan-tai and the Venom Boys. Featuring veteran villain actor Johnny Wang Lung-wei.

The actors who played the Five Deadly Venoms (Except for "Snake" Wei Pai) are back, but they play new characters in an unrelated story. An alternate title the film is known by, "Crippled Avengers," is more accurate. Maimed by villains who were emotionally and in one case physically crippled themselves, four men find a kung fu master who trains them to end the villains' reign of terror. This is one of the best of the dozen or so movies that most of the "Venoms" actors made together. Little of it is remotely believable, but that's not necessarily bad. There are many martial arts weapons used, numerous intricately choreographed fights, and even a rather touching friendship between a blind avenger and a deaf & dumb one. Note there are some bloody scenes; not for young or sensitive/impressionable viewers. Recommended to those who enjoy violent yet almost elegant action.
