Another outstanding release by Govt Mule. Blues!!

Gov't Mule has been around over 20 years and weathered all kinds of changes, but at heart they are still a meaty hard rock band, a bit of a throw back to the 1970s. Warren Haynes always like to do thinks a little differently, so this time it is a political protest, but along the lines of, "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.". There is a widening of the stylistic pallet this time, and with the passing of Butch Trucks and Greg Allman, Gov't Mule finally wanders into Allman Brothers / Grateful Dead territory with 'Traveling Tune' and soul with 'Sarah, Surrender'. The highlights are 'Revolution Come... Revolution Go ' with it's style changes and a very Zeppelin-esque 'Dark Was The Night, Cold Was The Ground,. Overall, a great addition to a very rich discography.

This is an excellent album from Government Mule and I enjoy listening to it greatly. I have only recently started listening to Government Mule and I very much enjoy listening to them and I think that this could probably be one of their best albums to date. I plan on starting to work on collecting the rest of their work and look forward to hearing more of their albums.

For start govt mule rocks I'm sorry for the loss of there awesome base player, wow he was good. Given Warren's track record of course he bounce back with his blues, rock and country style. Sure wish I could make it to the Christmas jam in NC Dec 9th.

A southern band that is the backbone of other well known bands. Haynes and Co. Really shine here. Look into their catalogue, their covers of other bands will blow you away. Although not a cover band per se, they can rock it.

I am a fan of Gov't Mule and have been since their initial release, however, the last few have been so so in terms of being blown away. Not this time. Mule has their swagger back and it comes out full force from beginning to end!

Love Warren Haynes with ABB, but he is really in his element when he is with the Mule! This ranks right up there with the best of Govt Mule. Highly recommended!

If you like Warren Haynes or Government Mule this is a wonderful CD! I would recommend this to any Rockin' Roller!

Very good cd. There is some very good guitar on this album but you'd expect nothing less from Warren Haynes.

You would expect nothing less than awesome from this band. They deliver the goods on this powerhouse cd!!!

Way better than I expected and I thought I would like it. The one song I didn't care for was still good.

This group never disappoints and has been on my favorite playlist since purchasing. Buy this now.

The music on this CD sounds kind of blah compared to their earlier releases. I am a HUGE Gov't Mule fan but I must admit....the loss of Woody seems to have taken its toll. Though there have been some great moments, overall each release since Woody's passing have seemed to get less and less exciting or original. Still, with all that being said, in my opinion, even a weak Gov't Mule album blows away most CD's released today.
