my favorite season, from one of my favorite shows.

I got season 1 and 2 at a discount price. But s2 came with digial code, i was happy about that, but it was through Uv and they cshut down, so i was pretty mad about thatn

The only reason I bought the first 3 seasons individually instead of seasons 1-3 through Amazon (which is about $20 cheaper right now) is because one of the previous reviews stated that Season 1 came with a digital copy. I’ve seen it in the past where Best Buy doesn’t advertise on the covers that it has a digital copy or in the product description and they slip one in there, so I figured that I would take the risk. The picture was correct this time though and Season 1 only has one Blu-ray disc inside with no digital code as the cover shows on the website. I feel like Best Buy could at least advertise for the product itself that a digital copy is not available on products that don’t include it and vice-versa if there is a digital code inside but not labeled on the disk cover that has one. I’ll probably just go on movies anywhere and see how much it is to buy season one for a digital copy. Maybe that’s why they’re on sale though, because seasons 2-3 have a digital copy but not Season 1 which doesn’t make any sense to me.

This show is truly remarkable. Funny beyond belief as it tweaks both the sci-fi AND family sitcom genres simultaneously. I haven't re-watched a show this much since the golden age of The Simpsons. "Meeseeks and Destroy" is a personal favorite episode, so good it deserves to win a Peabody Award at least. The Blu-ray looks and sounds excellent, even sharper than the original Adult Swim/Cartoon Network broadcasts. I haven't gotten to dig into the extras yet, but I'm particularly interested in the commentaries from co-creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland. This show must be seen to be believed and understood.

A friend insisted I check out this series and boy - am I glad I did. The brainchild of Dan Harmon - creator of the brilliantly inventive comedy sitcom Community (another amazing show you should get if you haven't seen it), Rick and Morty is genre-defying genius. If you have any viewing history of series/movies like Doctor Who, Back to the Future, or Fringe, Gravity Falls, or just are a fan of sci-fi generally, you need to check out this show. Is it twisted? Yes. Does it push the boundaries? Yes. Is Rick Sanchez likable? Well, it depends -- and that is so much the brilliance of this show. I can't think of any animated work that comes close to this work.

Didn’t watch Rick and Morty when it first came out. Started watching it on Cartoon Network Adult Swim website when they started the marathon stream. So glad I did! The show is perfect. The writing is really good. The characters development and voice acting couldn’t be better. Can’t think of one bad episode. Wasn’t really looking to buy this as I have watched this many times over, but Best Buy had such a good price I couldn’t resist. Looking forward to the commentary tracks and how it’s going to look in HD. Do yourself a favor, and watch this show

I fell in love with Rick & Morty after one episode. I watched the entire first season in one seating and needed it on home release. The blu ray looks and sounds fantastic. The commentary tracks are about the only special feature worth your while. They do have a "behind the scenes" that was so annoying I could not finish it (mind you its only 20 minutes). If you're one of the rare ones like me that want to have a physical copy of something, for the price, I highly recommend picking this up.

This is a great dvd set. I am already a fan of the show, so I am biased, but it is jammed with special features, and that is what makes it so great. Every episode has a commentary track by the creative team and the voice actors, so it's great to see their insight and hear their humor. In addition, there are animatics as well as the comic that is shown in the show in one of the last episodes of the season. If you are a fan of the show, you owe it to yourself to get this collection.

the plot is a simple premise with complex results. Rick, a multidimensional super genius, and his grandson, far from what anyone would call smart, travel the multiverse going on fun adventures. The writers take full advantage of this premise, and have the adventures range from the magic-school-bus "in the body" episode to fantasy universe filled with giants, peasants, and a creepy slug thing. Finally, the writing is ingenious. Simply put, I cannot praise it enough without spoiling some of the best moments in the series. Rick and Morty is a 9/10, on the same level as the Simpsons or Furturama for me.

Rick and Morty is great to me. I find it hilarious. I like how each episode connects to the others in the storyline. There is a feel of continuity in this series that so many others lack. If something big happens in one episode its impact is felt in another even if just a little bit. My only thing I did not like about this set was that it did not have the iTunes version in it. It had the ultraviolet online version, which I do not care for and in the extras there is too much with the potato chips. Other than that I really like this series and can hardly wait for next season to come out.

I bought both seasons and tore right into them. I love the actors as they are quality actors from tv shows you may know. This show has a cult following and that means it will not be on your netflix and hulu for long when they clear content. Buy it at best buy so you have it. Think of Family guy that was cancelled after a few seasons and then dvd sales drove it back. This show is that good but not watched by many. Best buy had it at great price so buy it when you can.

This show is so funny! One of the best cartoons around and also one of the first that I've seen that has a continuous storyline. Many cartoons like Family Guy, Simpsons, South Park, just have one story each episode, and then a brand new one the next week with almost no elements of what happened the previous episode. Rick and Morty is totally different and is one of the best!

Just doing this for the points. Why wouldn’t you buy it?

Everyone kept telling me I NEED to watch this show but I was reluctant to buy into all the hype. At first, I didn't really feel it, but once it hit its stride, I totally fell in love with it. The sci-fi concepts are great and it actually goes to some pretty dark messed up places while still being super funny. It won't be for everyone, but if you like sci-fi and crude humor, this show is up your alley.

This show kind of started off small and grew into a massively popular series. All 11 episodes are on 1 blu ray disc. Special features include animatic sketches of the episodes, and a "tour" of the studio with some behind the scenes looks at the show and its production. This is definitely a show to check out if you are interested in sci fi, comedy, and parodies of pop culture.

This show is incredible. It's absolutely hilarious and the pilot just drops you into Rick and Morty's world. There is a lot to take in, but you learn and soak things up as the season progresses. This has definitely become one of my favorite shows. I just wish new seasons would come quicker. My only knock on the product itself is lack of a digital copy.

If you enjoyed any of the shows from Dan Harmon and/or Justin Roiland, then this combination of the two will best them all. It's so random and so fresh that I hope this collaboration will never end. Think Back to The Future, just much more perverse and comedic. If you need a comparison, it's in the same vein as The Regular Show, just a lot more adult themed.

I got the DVD only version and I regret it for one reason: I should have gotten the BluRay version because it has a digital copy so I can watch it on my tablet. I don't think the BR has any extra features or content that the DVD doesn't have. Such a minor thing to complain about tho. DVD even came with a mini comic book.
