Full disclosure, I love the Riddick character (and Vin Diesel movies), so I will call this a guilty pleasure. With that said, this movie had tons of flaws and really lost an opportunity to make a solid return of the character. The story suffered from rehashed scenarios, useless characters, cheesy effects, lame dialog, and drag time. It has a lot of action and succeeds as mindless entertainment. Unfortunately it may have also succeeded in ending what could have been a decent anti - hero franchise. Only those who love the character and can ignore the flaws would enjoy the film.

The saga of Riddick is always full of action, stealth and entertainment. The third entry is more of that as well and I love it. Riddick is really good character and can make for great space action movies, hopefully the last entry made enough to excite producers to make a new one soon. We need more Riddick!!

Riddick is a good continuation from Chronicles. The movies is well paced and Vin Diesel is great as the returning main character. Riddick ends open with the potential to see more of this universe explored.

This is a typical summertime popcorn movie with an excellent action hero, doing those things that made the previous Riddick movies a lot of fun. Go in expecting a fun time and you won't be disappointed...

Great action scenes; cool and imaginative setting; However the movie plays out a lot like Pitch Black did; Still I waited 9 years for another Riddick installment. I would definitely recommend this movie.

I enjoyed the other movies in the series from years earlier, so this was a something I wanted to see regardless. It is a good action movie if you are not expecting to be completely blow away by a plot.

Completely Riddick. Vin Diesel does an excellent job reprising the character he's made famous. The story is completely in line with the previous movies and actually offers hope for future stories.

Vin Diesel gives another standout performance as Riddick! Anyone who enjoyed the first 2 movies in this franchise will absolutely love this one. Vin brings his 'A' game, the special effects are spectacular, and the story is solid. I just wish we wouldn't have to wait so long between the Riddick movies!

Really enjoyed how they brought Riddick back to his basics. They included the elements of the first movies and created a great continuation of this franchise. Can not to wait to see the next movie!

A very intense movie. It reveals a lot about who Riddick is (past, present and future). The movie also answers questions about what happens to Riddick once he becomes the Lord Marshall of the Necromongers. His survival instincts are epic! If you are a fan of the Riddick series, you will love this movie.

This movie is somewhat of a hybrid between Pitch Blank and Chronicles of Riddick. It is more of survival against alien specifies then fighting armies, so in that regard it is closer to Pitch Black.

I liked this movie so much, I saw it at the theater twice. I liked the first Riddick movie but was unimpressed with the sequel. This one, however, didn't disappoint. Lots of action here.

A interesting movie in the series, my only complaint is that the general plot to the movie is similar to the first, Pitch Black. A movie that is still worth watching though.

The continued saga of Riddick does not disappoint followers of the Chronicles. Vin Diesel was ...... Vin Diesel. I heard he financed this one himself. Hope he broke even. I would watch it again.

Love the Riddick series. Like the fact that we got back to a Pitch Black concept. New creatures were well thought out and enjoyed the k-9. The Johns plot was a little far reaching but not a bad twist. Liked keeping the Necromongers in the mix. Wish we would get a better explanation of transcendence.

I'm a huge fan of the series and I had very high hopes for this movie. Ultimately, it's not bad, but it's not nearly as good as I thought it would be. I feel it miscast a number of roles, which led to sub par acting. The plot is reminiscent of Pitch Black; which isn't necessarily a bad thing. However, this meant that things were very predictable. My biggest criticism would be that there were a number of scenes that I felt cheapened the character and the series. A few times I got the distinct impression that a 13 year old boy was put in the director's seat.

This movie was full of action! I really like Vin Diesel, so I was excited to see him in another movie. The story was interesting and the acting was great. Can't wait for the next Riddick movie!

I have been a fan of this series since I first watched pitch black. The visuals are great and there is no shortage of butt kickin'. If you liked the previous movies, you will like this one. My only complaint is that it is almost exactly the same plot as the first movie, but is still entertaining.

It won't win an Oscars, but it is what you expect from a Riddick movie. It is a bit of the other movies mixed together. If you like the other Riddick movies, you will probably enjoy this one.

I was hoping this movie would take-off straight from the Chronicles and Riddick would be destroying planets and his enemies. Not so. It went in a completely different direction and I was pleasantly surprised. Same bad Riddick, great special effects, and the possibility of #4. Good stuff.
