I'll buy any sci-fi: average to high quality. I'm addicted. This is a guilty pleasure that delivers completely as long as you're not expecting Star Wars or Matrix complexity. Wonderful quality film video and sound. Detailed deep blacks with enough information to keep the action thrilling, not confusing. Great quality audio.

This series really is all over the place in terms of tone, but you can't deny each film has fantastic production values for a mediocre Hollywood budget. This entry starts over in a unique manner but eventually morphs into copying Pitch Black. In the end, the film is a solid entry and provides some great sci-fi action.

This movie better sets the stage for who Riddick is as an individual and an overall warrior for the follow up conclusion to the Riddick saga. If you like pitch black and hated Chronicles of Riddick you will love this movie because it's all about Riddick and none of that other stupid stuff from the second movie. I like this movie so much that I purchased it willingly giving my money to extend the franchise rather than just downloading it off the Internet....

I am a big Pitch Black fan. Riddick as the anti-hero was well played. Sadly, what made Riddick, diminished in the second movie. But I was greatly surprised at the movement back to how Riddick's character was in Pitch Black with the new movie Riddick. If your a fan of Pitch Black, you'll enjoy Riddick.

This video is a must for fans of Riddick and anti-heroes in general. Lot's of references to past Riddick movies. Casting and costumes are excellent. The only downside for me is that the plot is no where near as interesting and deep as Chronicles, But the Riddick growl and dry sense of humor abound.

I'm a big fan of Pitch Black and the Chronicles of Riddick but was quite disappointed in this entry...it could have been so much more. There really isn't much of a story and the CGI is quite poor IMO. I'll give it another viewing to see if it grows on me but the first time through wasn't great.

I enjoy the continued action packed aventure(s) of the Riddick saga. It's never a dull moment with Vin Diesel as Riddick (or any character he portrays). It would have been great to see more of Riddick as the ruler of the Necromongers leading into this storyline. Overall, I enjoyed the movie.

I'm a big fan of the Chronicles of Riddick and I'm glad they chose to come full circle with the storyline versus venturing further into space. Though I would have liked seeing more of his adventures with the Necros, it was a good plot to see him return to his more savage instincts.

The movie started you out guessing where is Vinsel. Then the action sends you back to the ending of the previous movie to present. The action is more thought out (planned). I liked the BluRay version because of the surround sound and High quality picture. I was a little disappointed that the Blu Ray combo didn't have a digital copy, I enjoy loading the copy for my iPhone, iPad and tablet to watch later while out.

This movie had me excited since I heard its announcement, but the negative feedback had me worried.. Watch it for yourself! It's a great addition to the riddick series and I'm just glad it went back to R rating. Can't make this character PG. all in all I enjoyed all of it!

I'll have to be honest..I thought this was the best if the series thus far! I enjoyed the story much more then the others! Plus I enjoyed the creatures more! And the special effects were dang good!….Im not the stiffest movie critic.. but , If I can stay I was entertained!

Riddick is back!!! Fans of the Riddick story will appreciate this movie. Riddick has to relearn his core elements and shed the soft life he has come accustomed too. Awesome actions scenes, the cheesy punchlines and overacting make this a must for any Riddick movie lover.

The new Riddick movie was just ok for me. I loved pitch black and chronicles was pretty good, but it seemed like this one was a combo of the two re-vamped into one movie. If your a fan of the series its def worth having for the collection, otherwise i would just rent it.

Ok I know a lot of people call this series cheesy. But i must sat that i love the character Riddick. I was however a little skeptical going into the third film. I knew the overall plot line but i just had to see what had become of our hero. Riddick has its up and downs and by no means is it perfect.In either the 2nd or 3rd film do i like the look of the alien planets that Riddick encounters..Nor do i like the look of some of the alien life .For a big budget film i think they could do better.Overall Riddick is filled with shoots that look good on screen an OK but predictable story, and an ending that resorts back to what worked for them in the first story.But somehow when i started watching it i couldn't stop. C+ .

The movie was more like Pitch Black than Chronicles of Riddick. However, does not deny viewers the action packed movie that you would expect from Vin Diesel. Even the scenes when it was just Riddick were not slow. It was a good movie that I would recommend buying.

This installment of the franchise seems to have elements of the 1st (Pitch Black), but has enough offerings to make it feel "new". I also like how it connected w/the previous installments. I have not watched the Blu-Ray disc yet, but will when I can.

I thought it was enjoyable for what it was. Vin Diesel, spaceships, kicking butt... If you liked the other RIddick movies and games, you'll like this. This movie is NOT where to start your learning of the Riddick Story... that starts in Pitch Black.

I enjoyed the this third installment of the Riddick character better than the second. I still believe the first movie (Pitch Black) to be the best of the three but this one was a worthy sequel in my opinion. It was much better than I had heard or expected.

Picked up right where the last one left off. Continued to leave it open to carry on the story if they choose. Visually looked great! If you liked the previous ones, you will enjoy this one too.

This is just a fun movie about Riddick being as he always has been...an ordinary man that can see like no other man but has extraordinary survivability skills. Just like all the Riddick movies, if you're a Riddick fan you will love this one as well.
