I have to admit, I'm more of a beginning, middle, end type gamer. I enjoyed Journey but didn't quite understand all the hype surrounding it. It was likely over my head which is fine with me - I am a simplistic gamer and proud of it. Keep this in mind with my review as I'm sure this is a similar situation. I liked Rime but that's it, I just liked it. It wasn't great, I wouldn't play it again. The graphics are nice and the controls work fine, but I need a bit more substance to my games. Clear, straight-forward substance that I don't need to interpret. Just a beginning, middle and end.

Think Journey and Ico and you get Rime. It’s not a long game but the time I spent with it was quality gameplay. The atmosphere, music, puzzles and style are some of the best.

Truly a gem. The Soundtrack is amazing and the story gives you that charm a Zelda game offers as well. Gameplay is similar to Ico and Shadow of Colossus. You can tell a lot of heart went into this game and I truly enjoyed to the core. It certainly has replay value and I am not finished yet but I know this game will stick with me. The music alone gives me happy tears. Any age, especially adults like myself, will love this. I think adults will appreciate what went into this game.

Beautiful looking game with a touching story. Lots of well hidden collectibles and chapter select to find them. I really loved this game and didn't want it to end. The music was lovely and the mostly silent character is something I always enjoy. Really glad I bought this game, well worth the price.

This is a great game for kids who haven't played puzzle-type games before. The narrative is nice and the gameplay and graphics are beautiful. The game is a bit on the shorter side (a bonus for younger kids, a negative for teens/adults) and the puzzles involved don't often take much thought to figure out (again, a plus for younger kids or novices - a negative for experienced or older players). I got RiME for my 7 year old kid and I think it was a perfect fit.

So, first off this game is very pretty. A really nice art style that's colorful. I really enjoyed the game. I'm not a great puzzle platform gamer in general, really complex games frustrate me. This games puzzles were generally easy to moderate as long as you thought about it. Plenty of unique areas to explore and I never got lost. The only reason I gave it four stars is because the collectibles and keyholes( important to the narrative) were hard to find or get to compared to the rest of the game.

If you are looking for a game with great game play look somewhere elese. This game i's lacking in that department with few puzzles and lots of walking. But tis game is abut the journey and how you get there, not so much anything else. If you were a fan of journey you will love this game

This game is fun. The graphics are good, and you will love the puzzles. The point of this game is to have fun and explore the unknown. I still do not know what this game is about and I am okay with that.

This game has interesting and beautiful graphics. Kind off reminds me of Zelda!

RiME is a great way to relax go on adventures in an open world and solve puzzles. Walk around have fun and enjoy this creative gameplay. Cant beat the price!

It’s kinda like zelda but not as big. Cartoony graphics are ok and the puzzles not to hard. Overall it’s a pretty decent game.

I've always been a sucker for these types of games, ones that look past the big explosions, violence, and spectacle and emphasis core mechanics, atmosphere, and gameplay.

Easy to learn gameplay. Amazing graphics. The music is the best part. Game only takes about five hours to finish but a great game overall.

not your average game, a bit off kilter, but still good.

RiME surprised me. I was expecting a simple platform along the lines of Journey, but instead it was a thoughtful exploration of the 5 stages of grief. I could say more, but I don't want to spoil anything. Play this title if you want to be emotionally moved! My other GOTY was Hellblade, for the same reason -- both games were personally moving in the best and surprising ways :)

The game started very slowly, and I started to get disappointed. It picked up in the end, so I was OK with it. I think it could've been a bit cheaper for what it was though.

Bought this on sale for $20 and I think it's worth it at this price point. Frames are smooth and gameplay is entertaining enough.
