I had a Ring Alarm. I also had an Eero Wifi 6 setup. What could be better then combining them into one device, right? Yeah, not so much. 1) The Ring Pro Alarm is not an Eero Pro with 3 channel WiFi 6. It is a 2 channel WiFi 6 device. 2). Previously, I paid $100 a year for monitoring and $30 a year for Eero Secure +, but when you “upgrade” to the Ring Alarm Pro they cancel your Eero Secure + and make you upgrade your monitoring plan to a $20 per month or $240 per year plan which includes Eero Secure +. So now I pay $90 more a year for essentially the same feature set. 3) Although it doesn’t say this in the directions, be prepared to have to reset all your devices so they can reconnect to your WiFi. And if you are like me, your cameras aren’t exactly easy to access. 4). The Ring Pro Alarm allows you to store video locally, but I suspect that Ring maintains a cloud copy. Otherwise, why would you have to upgrade your monitoring plan to capture video locally. The whole thing feels like I am being charged a premium for less features while I beta test their hardware/software. Do yourself a favor and follow my advice and pass on the Ring Alarm “Not So” Pro. Wait until they work out the kinks and drop the price.

This was just the beginning of what I ultimately installed. With the Ring Pro and the bridge, my ring app monitors; motion, 4 cameras (door bell, 2 outdoor and 1 indoor), front door lock, garage doors, windows, doors & mailbox sensors as well as lights. With 24 hour battery back-up in the event of a power failure with the ability to stack multiple to get more days of battery back-up if there is no power. Simple installation with monitoring service. This is far better than ADT & BRINKS I have used in the past! When I cancelled my Brinks Security paying $68 monthly, I was asked to reconsider with a monthly payment of $17 for exactly what I've been paying the $68's for. These type of companies are going to die a quick death residentially. I own my own equipment and can upgrade & add devices whenever I want! I just added a $30 device that monitors smoke & carbon monoxide, and it was installed and added to the system in less than 15 minutes. I only needed to have power for my two keypads, everything else is completely wireless. Keypads are not necessary with this system. I'm now monitored for ONLY $10 monthly. I feel much more protected than I ever have with this Ring system,

Love the fact this can be a solo Eero Router or an added Eero node to your existing Eero WiFi set up. Two-pher! Alarm and a router. Very easy to set up. But you can also have the Geek Squad install it for you.

I am returning this item because it requires the involvement of a separate cellphone to develop an additional EERO account which does not serve our needs. I am totally fed up with Ring doorbell and their incompatible products

      Hello HaroldJ

Thank you for sharing your feedback. If you are not in need of the extra features the Alarm Pro comes with, like the built-in Eero router, I would suggest looking into the Ring Alarm. It is more of a simple setup that does not require using a separate app. https://ring.com/products/security-system-alarm-5.

This is an ideal base station for people that have ring pro subscription. The only problem is you don’t have an option to trade your existing base station if you already own one.
