My daughter got me for a present. I love the doorbell. Pros: Doorbell simple to install and works great Cons: - Buy an extra doorbell battery. Takes several hours to recharge. - Wish night time camera was in color. My other brand digital doorbell was in hi- def color, both day and night. - After 6 months, door chime stopped working. Will not go into setup mode. Read numerous comments on support site that had the same issue. Is it a matter of CHEAP CHINESE TRASH?

This camera is easy to install, stylish, and economical. It took approximately 15-20 minutes to install and set it up. It looks stylish on my front door. I have fun interchanging the multiple ring tones. My neighbors think I am crazy because I keep opening and closing my front door to listen to the chimes. This is a great investment that I can move from place to place, if I want to!

Parents house didn't have a door bell so I purchased this and installed it at their house. Fits in the Peephole no problem and does well for notifications and door bell rings. The Knock sensing needs to be adjusted so take the time to fine tune it after installed. All in All they love it and it fixed the issue with no door bell at the house. plus gives them the added security of knowing when someone is at their front door. Easy to Install and setup!

I bought this item because i was not able to set a ring pro or ring 2 due to the location of the doorbell. The reason for the four stars is that either you buy a backup battery or disconnect it for almost 12 hours to charge it. Also, the motion detector is very sensible when on high or won’t detect much when in low. I also noticed that there a few segments of the day when the snaps are not recorded.

I would personally suggest getting the pro version of the ring doorbell, as it does not need wires and is less bulky.

Loved the option to get a camera through the peep hole. Easy to install. Setup was a little tricky because I live in a townhouse and people walking by constantly set it off. App now lets you set a zone and that fixed the issue. One issue I don't like is the light on the chime. You can't turn it off and it's very bright. The other issue I don't like is the video quality. The lens is too wide, which makes seeing faces difficult.

Overall the quality of the unit itself is very good. Install and setup were a breeze. The problems stem from the ring software. Occasionally the app will fail to connect to the camera and display an error. While annoying, it will probably be fixed with a software update. If you have the option of using the Pro model doorbell replacement, I would recommend going in that direction. However, if you're like me and that won't work, it's a great option.

Purchased this product because we have been experiencing theft of our packages and I have to say this was a great purchase. I have all my package being left by my door and I can totally keep an eye on them till someone gets home. If you are on the fence, please don’t over think it and purchase because I give you my word that you will also love the purchase.

I got this doorbell because I live in an apartment and don't want to drill any holes and I don't have doorbell wires to hook up a video doorbell. I wish the battery life on this thing was better but its because of where my apartment is located there's at least 200 motion events a day. Battery life with all that motion and the highest settings is about a month which is impressive.

I bought this because I live in an apartment complex and I still want to some form of safety. I am more than pleased about my ring peephole security; it truly makes all the difference in the world especially when I’m not home. Also, I’m a woman and I was able to install it myself very easy without any problems.

This is the peace of mind I was looking for! It notifies me whenever anyone approaches my door, which in our day and age is desperately needed. It was super easy to install, my 8 year old even said so. Live thus camera!

Always nice to see who is at your front door. This peep-hole cam does the job so, I don’t have to worry if I’m not home. Also very convenient to know when deliveries are made.

Love the peephole function of the ring doorbell. Obviously you don’t have any issues mounting the device (as long as you have an existing peephole). You may want to check if this device could be used on a hurricane proof door.

I love Ring products. This Ring Doorbell is great for someone who lives in an apartment and cannot use the hardwired Ring Doorbell option. Overall great product. Easy to install and setup. Simple app to use.

Fabulous device. Easy install, including the software. Works perfectly with our Alexa video unit. Great to have the alert and able to talk to visitors by cell when out of the house.
