I love my door ring it crystal , the image is clear.

It might be good for an apartment door which opens into a hallway but I used it on my house door. The peephole is too small to be able to see through it clearly. The sound is so low that people can hear me trough the door but not trough the device.

Did not like the fact that it needed to be installed in the peephole of your door. Returned item.

I procrastinated installing this, now its past the return date. Started setting up the app and it demands you give your address to map the device’s location. UNNECESSARY. This should be in the product description. Then I searched online to see if there’s a way around that (didn’t find one) and found out you also need to supply your phone number in order to release photos that the camera has. 1. A phone number is hardly a password. 2. I have another peephole camera that doesn’t require any of this PII and has a far less obvious appearance and I love it. Thought I’d try Ring on another entrance but no. Thankfully I started with the app before plugging the device into my door.

We tried multiple times to set this up and were never able to get it to connect to teh wifi. We finally gave up and returned it. I have two other Ring products, which work fine, but this one just didn't want to work.

I had a Ring doorbell at my last house and was very happy with it, so recently purchased their security system. However given Ring's poor response after the hacking of their cameras, I returned this product, unopened. Ring is representing themselves as a security option for the DIY homeowner and yet apparently did not provide the homeowner the technical protocol needed to protect themselves when using a Ring device. And then when problems arose, Ring blamed the homeowner. I will look to find a better system/company for my security needs, one that provides a safe product and quality customer service.
