Both leads, Sean Connery and Wesley Snipes are very good as buddy cops, in Japan. There was some hew and cry back when film was released that it made the Japanese look bad. Well, they do play most of the roles, and cops are after bad guys, so yes, that's true. There are some good Japanese Cops in it too. Very interesting and taut plot, kept us captivated throughout the film. We miss Snipes, wish he would get back into films.

Great movie at a really great price. It's now a classic and has become better over time, back when every novel ever written my Chrichton or Grisham was being made into a movie, some good, some great, some ok. This one is somewhere in the middle of them all. Book was a thousand times better.

I love Michael Crichton books and this sticks closely enough to the original that it's worth the view. Even counting Jurassic Park they still haven't gotten one of his books perfect yet.

Based on Michael Crichton's novel of the same name, this film boasts a powerhouse cast led by Sean Connery, Wesley Snipes, Harvey Keitel, Tia Carrere, Mako, Cary Hiroyuki-Tagawa, Ray Wise and Steve Buscemi. Directed by Philip Kaufman, the film keeps the suspense throughout the end. However, it is Connery's classy and authoritative portrayal of another aging mentor/father-figure (this time to Snipes' character) that makes the movie worth watching, despite it having been panned by some critics back in 1993.

Two excellent actors (Sean Connery and Wesley Snipes) are called to Japan to solve a murder mystery. Shows a part of Japan rarely seen outside of the country.

Usually Wesley Snipes is annoying based on his acting style. Having Sean Connery as the other male lead overcomes this aspect of the film.

I haven't yet had a chance to see this one, hence the four stars. But can't imagine a bad movie with these two actors.

Sean Connery is always good. He will be 110 years old and still look amazing! Wesley Snipes needs acting lessons though.

I love this movie based on Michael Crichton’s book of the same name. Connery and Snipes are exceptional in this movie.

If you would enjoy watching a formulaic relationship of Connery act smarter and more confident than Snipes then go for this movie. Some of the wealthy executives portray a risque lifestyle while others expect traditional exotic manners. It is fun to watch Connery walk the line between cordial and aggressive. Snipes plays the fool until the end but - not to spoil it, you'll have to watch to find out.

A top notch story. A great cast has to deal with an international mystery. Who killed this young lady and why.

Read the book a few months back and thought it would be interesting to see if the movie was as good as the book. I was not disappointed. The movie follows the book very closely. The acting is outstanding. The interaction between Connery and Snipes is well done. Definitely worth the money.

Wasnr this one based on a novel by Michael Creighton? Starts with a murdered blonde ... Don't they all? But Sean Connery & Wesley Snipes are terrific in this one ... figuring out the intricacies and deceptions of Japanese high tech companies ...

Great combination of Sean Connery and Wesley Snipes. Good action. Highly recommended.

Interesting film but with some odd events in it. Typical Connery and Snipes.

It is a pretty good movie and you will enjoy it. You will not be disappointed.

From start to finish action and suspense well done lead by an exceptional cast

Snipes is a cop who had done some crooked things and gets teamed up with Connery to help figure out who killed a lady of the evening at a function for some very important Japanese businessmen. Things aren’t always as they appear in this thriller.

Great movie, Sean Connery and Wesley Snipes are superb together!

Good action film. Watched it several times and enjoy it each time.
