I'm a big fan of the original film. It will always be superior to this reboot in just about every way. With that said, this is a great reinterpretation of RoboCop for the modern age that we live in. Great performances by this all star cast.

I was impressed with this reboot using today's modern day movie making technology. I enjoyed this movie despite its lack of favorable reviews. The blu ray edition makes it a welcome addition to my collection. Can't wait to watch it again. Enjoy.

This movie surprised me. I did enjoy the original version growing up, but going back to watch it today really made me realize how cheesy it was. But this remake did a good job of making it modern and I enjoyed watching it more than I expected.

I had higher expectations for this movie after being a big fan of the original. Would have preferred a direct remake with all same characters and storyline, but still enjoyed the refreshed story. Definitely worth the 12.99 on sale bluray price

This was a great re-installment of Robocop. Same premise , new storyline. It was a refreshing new look at the franchise. New actors pulled it off with ease and the characters were more humanized and less cartoony compared to the original.

I feel that by making a movie PG-13 it lost some of its original grittiness. But there was more story in this version than the old version. They played up the human aspect of Robocop and how big corporations will steamroll anyone for profit.

I've watched a lot of movies since this one so I cannot give it the proper description or rating. I recall liking it so that's a plus lol. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. I think it was full of action and destruction but trying to recall.

The original RoboCop is a classic and my favorite movie of all time. The new Reboot is at least the best RoboCop film since the original. It doesn't insult the original and is the perfect complimentary piece in my eyes. If your on the fence with this, take it from a die hard RoboCop fan, do not compare it to the original and you will have fun. It's great for what it is and what it presents. The MetalPak exclusive is awesome. I'm more of a steelbook collector, but the new FuturPaks have really improved in quality. If you can find it, go for it.

Ok, if you are an original Robocop fan and you really, really wanted a good remake, you probably don't want to see this. You just have to let go of the idea that this is supposed to be Robocop all over again. It's different, it has a different feel, and it's better because of that. The truly disappointing aspect was the tacked on family subplot. It's not as if they couldn't give ample reason for Robocop to have an existential crisis without them, but you can tell the producers wanted a more "family friendly" film by having a wife and child present. It's an ok film, not awesome but really not bad. I'd recommend watching it if you don't have anything better to do.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this film and thought it would be the usual retread of an original classic. They updated the plot and it looked really slick. I also like the blu-ray extras and the Best Buy steelbook is a must have.

I loved the original and was pleased with this remake. True to the original in many ways but tweaked enough to make it interesting still. A few scenes were just amazing! I won't spoil them but if you liked the original give this a look.

Not a bad movie, but don't expect this reboot to be too much like the original. I didn't care for Officer Murphy being a man, I was expecting some decent looking woman with the I can do anything and everything better than you attitude.

I like all kinds of movies. Remakes always draw my attention because I like to see how they compare to the originals. This one doesn't disappoint. It as its similarities, yet has enough to make it a new movie as well. I enjoyed it.

I was a fan of the original movie and so was a little concerned when I heard that there was a remake, but I actually REALLY like this movie. Believe it or not I actually like this movie better than the original in certain aspects. It's got all the action of the first movie without trying to hard to show the blood (like I felt the original did). It's sleek without losing the gritty feel of corrupt future Detroit. An excellent addition to any action movie collection and one that I will rewatch many times over the coming years!

This movie kept some similarities as the previous one. The good thing about this RoboCop was the advanced technology we have to make it realistic. The action scenes were awesome it could have used little less talking and action!!

With the reboots that Hollywood is doing its either hit or miss this one was a hit but not a very big one but its built for todays people less swearing less blood but it does have some of the jokes from the old one

This film is much better than the original reviews suggested to me, although it's still not what I'd call a must-see film. This version of Robocop is definitely a decent update, and Joel Kinnaman fans won't be disappointed.

This was a very good remake. It is almost a stand alone and not really a remake. I wished it had a bit more action but I understand they needed to tell the story in the first one. Hopefully part 2 will be more action driven.

Sometimes you have to judge a movie by what the director wants to make out of it. In this case you get what think a Robson movie is suppose to deliver. There are no Oscar moments here but there is plenty of entertainment.

Is RoboCop 2014 going to be considered a masterpiece like the 1987 film? Probably not. Is it a lot of fun? Yes! Don't compare this to the original and you might have a great time. A great cast gives great performances in this fun sci-fi action piece. There are some particularly good dramatic moments, too, and while there may be a nod or two to the original, this version stands on its own. Aside from skimpy extras and some iffy camerawork at times, this is a great release. Superb video and audio. Recommended.
