Works great. Claims it only is supposed to be used for headphones, but works fine with a small soundbar. Not sure how a headphone jack is supposed to get dolby 7.1 though.....

The virtual 7.1 provided by this adapter is not as good as the surround sound headsets currently currently, but I did notice an improvement in quality compared to my motherboard audio. So currently I am still using this, since this is technically an upgrade for me. I just wish the 7.1 was better.

When my motherboard's sound port crapped out, this device saved me. Best Buy sent it quickly to my door. Thank you for that. It has helped me teach classes online during the outbreak. My only complaint is that there is a noticeable lag when you start talking, but that may be more of a USB thing than anything else. Good, clear sound and it seems to be holding up well. Also, and this has only happened once, if you notice for some reason it won't work----no sound, can't hear anything---try restarting your computer before you cuss :) Also, be sure you have your speakers set to ROCCAT and not whatever windows is recognizing as the "default" headphone/speaker/mic you have.

I needed to purchase a USB soundcard for use with an analog audio mixer, and this product worked like a charm when it was set up. I still use the soundcard for my home setup, and along with Dolby Atmos for Windows, I get perfect sound every time.

I use this product along with my Beyerdynamic 250 OHM DT770's, with an antlion Mod Mic attached to the side, and really cranks the volume on the headphones and does a great job with the fake surround as well. The combo is excellent, and the software is fun too, allowing you to imitate 7.1 surround, move the imitation speakers around to different positions in the imaginary room they use as a back drop. There's also a solid karaoke setting if you're into that sort of thing, and lastly you can send any audio currently playing from your computer thru a chat service like discord. To share a new beat, song or whatever. Highly recommend. Munch better than the antlion product that purports to do the same things(while their mod mics are still the best.)

So I had an old sound adapter left over from some Logitech headphones that came with it for “surround sound”. I ended up using it for a while because I need dual audio channels for my gaming setup (one for speakers and one for headphones). While this doesn’t allow the plugged in device to go nearly as loud as my native auxiliary port on my pc, it is loads better than what I had. It maxes out near the limit of what I would consider a “comfortable” listening volume. I have no complaints regarding the quality of the sound either. I highly recommend this for others looking for a similar solution.

Excellent external sound card. Nothing to download or read. Just plug into a USB port and you are ready to go. Great sound. Much better than the computer's original sound card.

I needed to replace my on board sound card after troubleshooting revealed it to be malfunctioning. When I plugged it into an available usb slot on the back of the computer, the installation was a snap. After I rebooted the PC, it automatically installed drivers and started working. I have a pair of 19 year old PC speakers. I plugged the speakers into the headset jack. I then tried one of my music files. The sound is fantastic!!!

Fixed A Win10 Update Screw Up

WIndows 10's latest feature update killed my onboard sound card. I was looking for a new one card when I saw the Roccat. This is not the newest machine & most cards run $50+ & this was under 20 & plugged into a USB. Gave it a try & it works. You need to get the drivers from their website to get their software suite. The Roccat was a good fix for me. It does well. Only downside is all your audio will have to run through it. If you need something else, you'll have to unplug the Roccat.

My son's laptop's headset jack broke while on vacation, so we picked him up one of these inexpensive USB sound cards and he had sound again in a matter of seconds.

I use this as a court reporter on depositions and legal proceedings conducted over Zoom. It makes the audio that I sync into my software for spot checking crystal clear, and the software download for controls is very user friendly. I had been using an Andrea sound card previously, but they don't seem to last. This one is about $20 less than the Andrea, and the sound quality on this is much better.

Great USB Sound Card & headset adapter!! My son laptop headphone jack is mess up. There were no sounds coming from it. Brought this and plug this in and instantly this work. Glad I got this instead of paying $100's of dollars for a fix. And the sounds isn't that bad either.
