I use it with a headset but if you plug speakers into the speaker port it works just the same I tested it tonight just to make sure for you before responding. Hope this helps and gets you fixed up.

A: This would not be as the apple earbuds have both mic and audio on one plug and this expects two. Q: Is the line input mono or stereo?
A: There are two 3.5mm jacks on the front of the Juke. One is for headphones, and it's definitely stereo. The second jack is for the microphone. There are no specifications I've found, which tell whether or not the microphone jack is stereo or mono. However, the software shows only one volume control lever for the microphone. It seems it may be a mono mic.
