Great product for the price

I was skeptical of this product at first, but it proved me wrong. The installation was ridiculously easy. All I had to do was plug it into a USB port and it was ready to go about ten seconds later. I didn’t even have to open my computer or fuss with software.
The Juke delivers sound superior to the so-so onboard sound I had before. Games sound so much better. In Quake, explosions are BOOM! Instead of boom and death screams are AGHHHH! Instead of ahhh. Subtle sounds like footsteps, grass rustling, and a breeze blowing in Skyrim are more refined, too.
When listening to music all the instruments come across clearly like the band is in the room with you playing.
Installing the optional software from the company’s website is supposed to somehow make your headphones sound like a 7.1 experience, but I haven’t figured that out yet. Anyway, the amazing 2.0 sound is enough for me.
The juke obviously won’t sound as good as some 100+ dollar product, but it should be enough for most people who want to play games, listen to music, and whatnot at home on their computers. And for only $15 it’s hard to argue with the price.

Functional & convenient USB to 3.5mm

Purchased to use my gaming headset with my new laptop that only had a single 3.5mm combo jack. I think the price point is good when you look at competitors, shipping, and what they offer (and I picked it up same day). The quality is good: tight fitting 3.5mm ports and secure in USB port. I wouldn't flex the cable unnecessarily but it seems like it will hold up for a long time. When plugged in the device showed up immediately and seconds later it was sending sound to my headset. There's no other software I'm aware of that's necessary to use this product which is a pro for me. Overall I'm very happy with it a month into using it.

I bought this because after the latest Windows 10 update, my sound from the on-board Realtek sounded muffled and I had to crank the volume up to twice the normal level to get the same output. The voices were indistinguishable and the other sounds became too loud. Sort of like a cheap TV. So I noticed this on the shelf and took a shot with it because it had good reviews online.
I am very impressed with it. The sound from my normal speakers is once again clear without being too loud. The EQ works well, and I can tell a difference when I change the settings. The headphone spatial sound seems to work well. I was worried about latency since the unit is plugged into a USB port instead of coming through a PCIe slot or from hardware on the motherboard, but, if there is any latency, it is not perceptible to my ears.
The only complaint I have with it is that, on my computer, when booting, the unit causes my speakers to pop (sort of like when you plug speakers into a jack) three times before I get into Windows and then once more when I power off the computer. My solution to that is just to turn off the speakers before shutdown and leave them off until Windows has booted. Not a big deal, really, for the quality.
Easy to install, just plug it in and it works out of the box. You can get the drivers and EQ package from the company's website. Definitely worth the 19.99 price that I paid for it. I have paid more than that for junk that didn't sound 1/10th as good as this does.

Easy Setup. Noticeable 3D Sound Improvement.

It makes a noticeable improvement to the sound quality (depth and 3D surround), vs. just plugging into the analog 3.5mm jacks of your computer.
The ROCCAT Juke also immediately gives you a separate, dedicated profile for whatever sound device you use, so you can switch from the taskbar. Otherwise, it just says, "external speakers", and cannot discern between devices attached to the 3.5mm jacks on the front and back of your computer.
I like that the USB plug is at the end of about an 8" cord. This makes it flexible, so you're not putting stress directly on the device when you're using it. Most other brands are just one-piece blocks that have the 3.5mm jacks and USB plugin all in one solid unit.
There is nothing in the instructions (that I could find), but (at the time of writing) you can download the driver and software suite for the ROCCAT Juke at: https://en.roccat.org/Support/Product/Juke
You can see the software suite features in the images below.

Was trying to make a sound recording with my Lenovo Ideapad laptop using the Audacity program. Wanted to record from a professional audio board, so I could make CDs of my music recordings. Could not get the ear/microphone jack to accept the signal from the board. Got some pointers from an Audacity users group, then decided to utilize Geek Squad. We weren’t able to get it to work, but the nice man found this converter in the store. For the price, I decided I had nothing to lose, so took it home to try it. Plugged the audio board into the yellow jack on the unit, then the USB end into the laptop. Didn’t work. Was about to pack it up and take it back until I looked closer and saw it had a purple microphone jack. Plugged into that, it took a couple of minutes, but the Audacity program finally recognized it and I was off and running. Very pleased.

Great solution to sound problems from W10 updates

While I like Windows 10 OS, over the years, I have found that its system updates can bring new and unexpected problems. One of the most common side-effects of a W10 system upgrade was a loss of all audio output. While deleting and then re-installing the sound driver would sometimes work, it wouldn't always. In some cases, I had to do a rollback of the system update using the System Restore function (which would presumably leave my PC vulnerable to whatever security problem might have been the problem). I don't know if the problem was due to my Realtek sound card which was part of the installed suite of services/products when I bought my Dell XPS desktop. In any event, while I got to used to having to go through the motions of restoring my PC's audio capabilities after a W10 system update, I got really tired of the shtick. During the most recent loss of audio following a system update, all of my usual bag of tricks failed to restore the sound. I even tried to reinstall W10 overnight which still failed to fix the problem. Finally fed up, I started looking for a sound card alternative and was happy/fortunate to find this external USB sound card for $20 for Best Buy. It fixed my PC's sound problems quickly and restored my sanity. I told my wife that this was the most best $20 I had spent in some time since it saved me from the reoccurring audio problems from W10 updates. Thanks Roccat and thanks Best Buy!

i dont have a sound card in my desktop only the on board sound on the mother board, and was getting a very annoying buzz and sometimes whining noises when moving the mouse. playing some games were impossible because of the screeching coming from the speakers.
The Juke usb sound card eliminated most of the issue. there was still some noise but it was much more tolerable. I later ordered an isolation filter for $11 of of amazon which got rid of the problem. $16 after shipping.
the filter on amazon is called "Mpow Ground Loop Noise Isolator"
I have not tried it with just the filter yet and have not tried the mic input on the Juke usb sound card.
over all I am satisfied with the sound card. it is much cheaper than buying a sound card that is not available with out ordering it from best buy.
the only con is that when the computer boots, the speakers would pop loudly which I feel could damage your speakers if they are expensive ones. There were several pops as the computer was booting. I would unplug the usb Juke until the computer had fully booted.
using the filter from amazon there is only one small pop when the computer boots and no other pops.
using both the usb Juke and the filter got rid of the noise issue for under $30.
I may buy an internal sound card later.

Great little device and easy to use. I have a laptop that I wanted to to user to record some line level music from another device. My laptop did not have a line-in jack. The ROCCAT Sound Card solved the issue perfectly. It is auto-detected when plugged into a USB Port. Your recording software sees it as an input device. It couldn't ne simpler.

I ran my Razer Nommo speakers through this Juke and the improvement for $20 was well worth it. I'm actually really surprised how much it pushes my speakers. I hope my neighbors like Country music and heavy metal. At 50% my wife is yelling at me. At 75% volume I'm yelling at myself.

Easy to install the downloadable software... Plug & play auto dectection.... Minimal set-up..... Note: If it doesn't work at the beginning don't panic is not the adapter.... just small set-up steps required .... Depending on you computer. Please refer to YouTube for adapter support clips.. Important: in most cases is you computer firewall that is not allowing the installation in order to protect your computer.... See that this is in order and allowing the adapter. Finally go to your sound settings and select the Roccat for your output or mic & input or speakers. Enjoy I'm out!

I have been using this device with my 2017 Macbook pro. Simple plug and play installation. The Macbook recognized it immediately and the increase in sound quality is present. I use this device to send audio to my 3.1 Klipsch THX certified computer speakers paired with Boom 3D and I could not ask for more.

I purchased this for $11.00 at Best Buy and I thought I would check it out. Went home and plugged it in a free USB port. Downloaded the Roccat software and be fan to set things up. You can use the Roccat Juke’s and use 2 channel to 8 channel based upon your speaker setup. Next step is the DSP mode which enables the surround sound and then select 7.1 virtual speaker shift and Xear Surround Max. Select Headphone and begin playing games. I tested the surround in Black Ops 4, Overwatch, Apex Legeands and Battlefield V. The Roccat provides a very solid surround that reveals people coming from behind or above. The Roccat’s surround can be clicked off so you can use the Dolby Atmos or Windows Sonic in Windows. I use Dolby Atmos and it elevated the effectiveness of the sound and positions of sounds very well. The Roccat adds a little bump in power and it is very noticeable.
This little gadget is amazing and it provides so many adjustments to fit your needs.

I urgently needed a audio card since windows 10 doesn't detect my computer's on board audio. I picked this on a hurry and boy does it worked like a charm; plug it in and ready to go no need to install anything. Sound quality is awesome. I'm using wireless headphones for it and it have no noise at all.

I bought this because I could not get my sound card to play in Windows 10. I thought, based on some internet research, that this would work despite my sound problem, since it is USB-based. Not so! It was the computer's fault - I had to reload Windows, and then this worked OK. It does not seem to be a solution to non-functioning Windows 10 audio. (I though initially that my problem was the sound card and/or its drivers. NO - It was Windows!). If you don't feel comfortable finding support info and driver info for the Roccat on your own, this may not be for you. There was essentially no installation info in the box. I will recommend it for its ultimate functionality, but only for computer savvy friends!
