The core game play is there along with the back catalog of DLC songs (1700+) and legacy equipment. Adding to the game through updates will fix any issues and improve the experience.

Lots of fun. Same fun game play but lack of customization, modes, and problems connecting the instruments keep this game from being a smooth experience.

This game lives up to the series, but I wish there was a way to import track packs from the first and second games if you've downloaded them before. This game is great though with plenty of add on tracks to choose from.

Rock Band 4 is a great game that will certainly lead to hours and hours of fun. There is an in-depth career mode that will take several hours to complete as well as a quick-play mode to rock out with friends. It is a great game to play with the family and teaches kids hand-eye coordination as well as introduces them to a wide variety of music. This game does lack in adding more features from the previous games (although still great) and if not with a group of people, fun does fade.

I waited to purchase this game until I was certain that I'd have all my backlog in stock. Some of it is severely lacking, namely support of Rock Band and Rock Band 2. However, all my instruments work, which saved me a lot of money. The new game, even when using songs off Rock Band Blitz or older DLC is pretty on-point. It's not going to break new ground, and I don't think paying $250 is really worth it, but it still a blast to play. Grab this game, some friends, and have a ball.

how I missed playing this franchise game. I love getting back into the groove of Rock Band and I love the fact that older devices from previous Rock Bands work on the PS4 with no problems at all. Has a decent selection of songs that come built into the game from the start with up to 2200 more songs that can be purchased in game for various prices. Great game to play solo or with friends or even compete against others online. Great fun

Rock Band is back and as fun as ever! I do really love these games, that being said it is lacking in a few areas. One of the first things you will notice is a lack of character customization, you can still create a character and a band but the options of what your character can look like is minimal. A new feature has been added to the game where you basically make up your own solos in the songs, where I found myself just button mashing and did not find it very fun as one of my favorite parts of the game is playing the original solos that I know. Another down side is there is NO online play which depending on who you are could make or brake if you purchase this game. All in all it is a fun game and its nice that all the instruments you had for last gen still work! I would assume all the things that it lacks are because Harmonix is not as large as they were and did not have the funds to keep everything and add new features, so some things were taken out or left out.

This game reminds me very much of Rock Band 2 and I mean that in a good way. The menus are streamlined and everything loads much faster. Songs transfer over from previously purchased DLC which is great. If you enjoyed Rock Band 1-3 you will enjoy this too.

Rockband 4 is a new update to the Rock band series which makes for great gameplay, but unfortunately has resulted in a more guitar hero-esque game. After a little playing though, it is a fun game for the next generation of consoles.

The game is as good as the other games in the series with one omission. I miss the keyboard. They could have at least left it in for legacy songs, even if new songs didn't support it. Otherwise it is still fun.

I love the Rockband series! Harmonix has done everything right with this game! 1. You can use your DLC from rb2&3! 2.New guitar solo mechanics are cool! 3. The career/tour mode is great fun! AND... LEGACY CONTROLLERS ARE SUPPORTED!!! means old rockband/guitar hero controllers will work. ..AWESOME!

I'm glad Rock Band is making a comeback, I still played RB3 before this came out. Day 1 purchase for me. Getting to keep your old songs you bought was a big selling point.

Fun game even if the in-game song choices are the weakest of the Rock Band games (IMO). Could just be me, but don't think new freestyle solo mode adds anything to the game. If anything, it's a streak-breaker. Am glad to have a reason to bust out the old guitars and mics. Happy that many of the songs / keys I already purchased are available. According to the website, the songs from RB 1 & 2, and RB Lego are on their way too. No online head-to-head play, but that wasn't a big draw for me anyway. If you like the others, you'll be pleased with this one.

Sure Guitar Hero may have new pizzazz behind it...but there's nothing like the classic instrumental band that Rock Band 4 offers gamers. The ability to utilize the backlog of over 1,500 songs and your old instruments is just icing on the cake.

Nice to have rock band on my ps4. Wish it was easier to get my older song but at least I can. Using older instruments a big plus.

This game is so much fun to just pick up and play a little session to kill time or have some fun. The song list isnt the greatest so most of the fun will come from DLC. The only thing is i wish they added someore songs.

rockband games have always been excellent. giving it 4 stars due to the complicated and confusing DLC and exporting of songs

I like the Rockband games more than Guitar Hero!I like the amount of songs you can add from the PlayStation store too this game.i would highly recommend this game to friends and family....

if you are not familiar with the game/dont have old versions, then its cool to buy immediately. however, if you have RB 1-3, this one wasnt quite ready for prime time. Bought in eary Oct - export/import keys for previous versions still not available (scheduled for december) not all previosly purchased song available, either, all that aside, still fun to play :)
