Love love this CD! It really shows the diversity of this man's talent! He's not country but there are country tones (he handles them beautifully). It's not all pop, but there is that definite perfect pop Springfield sound. He's not a balladeer, yet there are sweet gentle songs to touch your soul. It starts out rocking like Love Is Alright Tonight from the 80s and delves into a variety of sounds to please any listener. So happy I bought this. Rick is clearly still very relevant. The lyrics fascinate as well. Wish they were included in the liner notes!

When you hear the name Rick Springfield, if all you think of is Jessie's Girl, then you don't know how good of an artist he is. This album finds Rick using instruments long associated with Country music, but this is not a Country album. It's a mix of different styles all encompassing his genuine style of melodic rock. Check out "Down" if you want to get a taste of this album's potential.

If you like Rick Springfield, then you will like this album. Stylistically, It's a little different than some of his albums, but I really liked this one. Then again, I've been a Rick Springfield fan since the 80's, so I am probably a bit biased. He's even got a song on this album (All Hands On Deck), that has an Irish feel to it. It's pretty catchy!

Strong release. nice to have bonus tracks. No new ground broken. Does everything you would expect. Some good hooks. The country aspect has alarmed a lot of folks but country is now pop rock so doesn't make a difference.

Rick Springfield's style had not changed much since he was popular in the 80's. This come-back CD continues with the traditional Rick Springfield and his rock and roll style!

This is by far and away Rick Springfield's best CD in years. Great songs, great playing and the two Best Buy Exclusive bonus tracks make this even more of a must have!

Has a little country vibe Every song has a hook that will stick that song in your head for days. I love it.

Rick is in fine voice. Great rock tunes plus some country-tinged guitar songs as well. You will find it enjoyable.

This may be his best yet, seems he gets better and better Great song writing with lots of hooks.

Love the rock/country fusion. Rick Springfield is a hard working rocker and this album proves it.

Rick Springfield's been around for quite some time now, but he's seldom made similar records twice. This new album, Rocket Science, is filled with some of the better music Springfield's created in a while. The styles of the various songs vary wildly, from country flavored (That One, Pay It Forward, Found), to soul flavored (Crowded Solitude), to straight up party rock (Light This Party Up, All Hands On Deck)! There's another few songs that are from previous releases, but they fit nicely here, including Let Me In from his last record. Yet, there's still more to discover here, including the song, Miss Mayhem, which features a swampy vocal, along with others. I would sum this up by saying that this album is best for Springfield fans and those who might be curious and have yet to discover this outstanding artist. He's definitely more than an actor and he's got a forty year bonafide music career to prove it. Check this out...

Rick never disappoints...some great songs on this new CD...a must have for all fans!
