This is good wire for normal use, however I would recommend a 12 awg wire that is oxygen free for high end use.

I used this to replace all the old speaker cable for my living room setup. Speaker cable really makes a noticeable difference. I also used this to run to my in-ceiling bathroom speakers for a second Zone setup. This is a solid middle of the road cable for your speakers. Make sure to use banana plugs!

Like I said in my review of the 100' speaker wire, this wire is too expensive for me to recommend to a friend. It's also really thick -- which inspires confidence -- and not very becoming of a family / living room. Only buy this wire if you are in a rush. Otherwise, look online for equally good speaker wire (even in-wall) for about half the price.
