This surge protector is fine. I am sure it will protect my equipment; however, I have to wait and see when we have another storm.

The Rocketfish RF-HTS723P 7-Outlet/1-USB-C/1-USB 3,600 Joules Surge Protector is an essential accessory for anyone seeking comprehensive protection and convenience for their electronic devices, especially in a home office setting. This surge protector shines in its ability to absorb power surges up to 3,600 joules, ensuring that your valuable electronics, such as computers, printers, and routers, remain safe during unexpected power spikes. A standout feature is the inclusion of both a USB-C and a USB port. These ports offer a combined power output of 32 watts, making them highly efficient for charging mobile devices. This functionality is particularly useful in a home office, where keeping smartphones and tablets charged is often as important as powering larger devices. Another great feature is the outlet spacing. The Rocketfish surge protector accommodates various plug sizes with its five standard and two wide-spaced outlets. This design is ideal for connecting a mix of devices, such as TVs, soundbars, and other office equipment, without the frustration of blocked outlets. The surge protector also extends its protection beyond just electrical surges. With 3-line protection, it safeguards the hot, neutral, and ground lines, offering a more comprehensive shield against potential electrical issues. This feature, combined with its 78 dB EMI/RFI noise filtering, ensures that your equipment receives only clean power, enhancing the performance and longevity of your devices. The Rocketfish RF-HTS723P has some great user-friendly design elements. The right-angle plug is a clever addition, allowing the surge protector to fit snugly behind furniture or in tight spaces, a common requirement in home office setups. The status LED lights are a simple yet effective way to provide immediate confirmation that your devices are protected, offering peace of mind. Further, the 6-foot braided cord is not only durable but also provides flexibility in placement, which is crucial in a home office where outlet locations may not always be convenient. To cap it off, the $750,000 Connected Equipment Guarantee is a testament to the confidence in the product's protective capabilities. This guarantee adds an extra layer of security and assurance for the user. In summary, the Rocketfish RF-HTS723P is a well-designed, highly functional surge protector that is ideal for a home office or anything you throw at it. Its combination of power surge protection, versatile outlet design, additional device charging options, and thoughtful user-centric features make it a reliable and valuable addition to any workspace. The peace of mind it provides in safeguarding against power surges is invaluable, making it a smart investment for anyone looking to protect their electronic devices.

I really like the tall and narrow design of this power strip and the fact that it has feet on it. Makes it very easy to fit in tight or narrow spaces like behind a desk, couch, or entertainment center. Setup was very easy, you just take it out of the box and then attach the 2 small feet (or you can also wall mount it if you like) I choose to just set it behind my desk for my computer. There are 2 outlets on the top that are spaced further apart for the big brick type plugs. Then there are 5 outlets that are closer together. I wish those outlets had a little more space in between them. But they will work unless your plugs are very large. I have my computer, monitor, speakers, and a couple other miscellaneous things plugged in and it powers them all just fine. I cant speak to if the surge protector part works since I haven’t had any power surges since I got it, but I feel pretty confident that all of my electronic will be protected if that ever were to happen. It also has 1 USB, 1USB-C, Coax in and out and Network in and out connectors as well to make sure everything is protected and no surges will reach your electronics in any way. They back that up with $750,000 of Connected Equipment Insurance. It also has a 3 year manufacturers warranty with parts included. So, this will definitely keep you protected for a long time! I highly recommend this to keep your computer or entertainment system safe and secure from electrical surges. With the insurance and warranty included, it’s a no-brainier!

This is a good unit to power electronics. It makes it easier to "hide" the cables.

    Well Thought Out Surge Protector

This is your very good surge protector that is mostly perfect for what it is intended to do. It is positioned vertically instead of horizontally as is with most other surge protectors, so it takes up less space on the floor but you need to make sure you have enough vertical space to place it and the plugs on top. Because of the stand, it does not allow you to place it horizontally. As expected from it, it does have filtering as well as surge protection but there is no way for me to test it. The cord that comes with it is plenty long for most applications and is braided for that very high-quality feel. It comes with USB-A and USB-C charging connections that allow a device to charge rapidly, but depending on the device, it may not charge as fast as with other PD chargers. I tested the network connection by placing it in between my router and my NAS drive and it worked fine. I tested the COAX connection by placing it before my cable modem and while it worked, it did significantly slowed things down. It doesn’t include a COAX or network cable so you will have to provide one if you want to use these connections. My final comment is that it does include a couple of plugs that are spaced apart for the other plugs but because of the way they are oriented, that still block the plugs when a power pack is plugged into it. This would not be the case if the plugs were oriented 90 degrees. Overall, I would recommend it.

    Great Option

I'm always looking for reliable surge protector options to help power and protect the numerous tech gadgets I have in my home (which numbers seem to grow daily) so I was more than interested in trying this Rocketfish 7-Outlet Protector option. I was glad to see that it included a USB-C port as well as a USB port that provides a total of 32W of power so I can fast charge some of my devices when needed. The one 6 foot braided power cord gives me lots of placement flexibility which is always appreciated. The addition of the Phone/Ethernet jacks are great for those that opt for ethernet connection. Setup was fairly simple as far as attaching the 2 stands at the bottom of the surge protector and the slim profile is helpful since it doesn't take up a lot of space like a couple of my other surge protectors in my home. So far this works exactly as expected and I am able to comfortably fit the plugs I need to on it without having issues with crowding. The only thing missing from this that isn't a must but is nice to have is a built-in backup battery for those instances where power may go out but you want to still be able to power some of your devices until power is restored. Overall I really like this one even without the perk of that feature.

    Cable Protection

A question as opposed to a review. Since the cable ports are not labled, can someone tell me if it makes any difference which connection the the cable from the wall connects, and which connection is for connecting to your modem?

You're asking a great question, JBBlues!

For the coaxial cable connections on this surge protector, it typically does not matter which port you use for the incoming wall cable and which you use for the cable going to your modem. Both ports are designed to provide surge protection for coaxial lines. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask! - Mae | Rocketfish Support BBY-ExBrand_RocketFish
