    Rocksmith is such a great concept. Ever since the announcement of games like Guitar Hero over 10 years ago, I wanted a similar type of game that uses a real guitar instead of fake plastic ones. Then comes along Rocksmith. The technology works well enough. The major problem I have with Rocksmith is that they insist on having the notes you need to play come toward you from a distance (just like Guitar Hero/Rock Band) instead of just displaying it like standard guitar tablature. Guitar Hero's method works fine when you only have 5 buttons to work with. On a real guitar, the total number of string/fret combinations are well over 100, and it's just too difficult to sight read the notes as they are presented in this game. Other than that, it's a fun game and a decent tool for learning to play guitar. The song selection seems pretty decent too.

    If looking to learn guitar for the first time or if your a seasoned vet looking to get better this is the game for you. 100s and 100s in store of fun guitar and bass playing. Go out and start shredding!
