I must admit that I was not sure how successful I would be with this game the teaches you to play guitar. The game does not require high aptitude in order to be immediately successful. I recommend allowing the game to Buresh you through from the lowest difficulty rating until you're ready to proceed to hard difficulty ratings. The song selection that you can play along with isn't bad either.

The game is a great tool for keeping up with your skills and learning some new ones. The cable that comes with this is horrible. It pops and crackles no matter what (imho, because of the quick release connection) and makes tuning impossible. It will also say you're missing notes because the connection is lost. I recommend buying the stand alone game (white guitar on the box) and getting a third party cable.

It really makes learning fun. Just like guitar hero but with real string and guitar.

It is always hard to believe that a game can teach you actual useful stuff but this game truly teaches you how to play guitar! If you keep up with it in a matter of days you can see improvement, you begin to play the notes without even having to look at the guitar. I love that the difficulty adjusts to how you play and it easy to follow and fun to learn.

Rocksmith 2014 for the PlayStation 4 is an a great program for beginners or experienced guitar players. The track list is great and is continually growing with purchasable DLC. If your interested in learning how to play guitar/bass or know how to play but want to learn some new songs or styles of play then I would highly recommend this game.

It is amazing to see how much a PS4 game can improve your real guitar playing ability. I have gotten exposure to songs that I hadn't explored previously. This is an excellent way to challenge yourself to learn guitar, or improve your existing performance. This game gives endless hours of enjoyment, and there is an abundance of DLC.

Bought for Christmas for my son along with a new les paul guitar. Hands down his favorite present. He took guitar lessons previously, so he was no beginner and I think it helps to have a little experience if you really want to use this to expand your skills. Got half price at best buy during the holiday sales so a real no brainer.

This game/educational tool for learning how to play guitar is very hands on and it teaches you right from the beginning to learn how to play the guitar. Great for people interested in learning, but don't have the time or luxury to expend. I recommend it for adults, since this is no replication of an actual video game per se.

Never played any Guitar Hero, let alone a real guitar (only Ukulele). Then I saw this game and all the vids on youtube, got a Les Paul Junior from Amazon, got this game, plug everything in and there we go. Just keep playing.

My daughter absolutely loves this! She is self taught on an acoustic guitar and I just got her an electric guitar for Christmas. This is helping her so much and in a short while has taught her a lot. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to learn how to improve their skills.

Rocksmith 2014 has helped me go from a single string one fret at a time player to being able to play multiple strings on multiple frets in just 2 weeks giving only 1 hour per day.

Rocksmith is an educational tool more than a game. If you want to get the most out of it, you definitely need to play it often, about an hour a day or so. That said, it starts you off very slowly and ramps things up gradually. Definitely recommended for those interested in guitar.

This is a great new way to learn guitar. It's like guitar hero, but you use a real guitar to learn how to play. It helps since it'll make you want to learn how to play the songs in the game and get the practice you need to learn and play different songs along on your own.

This game truly simplifies guitar learning. It will adjust automatically to your playing skill and increase difficulty as you progress. Much, much easier then learning through other means like other apps. A must buy for anyone truly interested in learning guitar

Excellent game! It really does teach you the basic and makes it entertaining! Have played it for a month now and I knew nothing before the game and can now consider myself an amateur. Still have a lot to learn and I believe this game can take me there!

I am no guitar expert but do enjoy video games, music and the creative aspect of many things. I like that this game allows you to take part in all of those things while actually teaching you a few skills on the strings. Great time especially with the family.

I've had this game for about 4 weeks now. I feel like I've been progressing steadily with lead guitar. The game moves at a nice pace and is very customizable. I've never been able to learn as quickly with guitar as I have with this game.

i've played guitar on and off for many years and seem to always get bored with it after a while. this game really brings the fun into guitar playing! its little confusing at first but after a few minutes things get easy to understand. Before you know it your playing your favorite songs! I really enjoy this game.
