I like that the game helps you tune your guitar rather than you paying someone to tune it for you. It's fun and I would diffently recommend this to friends it's loads of fun! Awesome you have to buy it to know what I'm saying.

The sound has a really long delay before hearing, which drives me crazy and everytime you play a different song the game requires you to tune.

Rock smith is a wonderful learning tool for any level of guitar. I went into it with a basic knowledge of chords and it expanded my skills vastly. Even if you are already good at guitar it's still fun to play with friends.

It required some configuration in my home theater receiver to reduce the lag. I suggest to use optical audio cable to connect the PS4 to the receiver and remove all the sound processing of the receiver.

This is one of the best things to come out in a long time. A perfect way to get back into playing guitar if you have ever played or wanted to play but don't have time or money to pay for lessons.

I've been playing guitar for over 10 years, but bought this just to learn new songs easier. It's a very fun and addicting game. Great for someone just starting out or for a more advanced player!

I didn't know how to play a guitar before this game. Thought it might be gimmicky like guitar hero and rock band, but this is so much better. You actually learn to play, getting better everyday.

I dabbled with playing the guitar over 15 years ago, and basically self taught myself through tablature. My girlfriend is an accomplished musician who plays acoustical folk style music, and she was also impressed with how the lessons were structure once she got used to the interface. It is much deeper than I expected, and has a phenomenal learning curve. While it does not dive into music theory much at all, it does a very good job (almost overwhelming at first) with all the various chords to help you build up your chord progressions. The lessons start you off slowly, and build you up based on how well you progress, and do a very good job at being patient and non-bias that you may get with some guitar instructors. My only issue I have with it, is that just as in the name Rocksmith, it focuses mainly on the power chords side of guitar. I do hope they build upon this down the road, and can possibly have more acoustic additions to the franchise, considering all of our acoustic guitars that have built in electric pickups work just like our electrics with it. If you are interested in learning the guitar, do not have time or the finances to take lessons, this is definitely a must buy. Again, it works.

This game will take you step by step and teach you the basics of the guitar. Or if you are an advanced guitarist, you can learn all of the songs you've always wanted to pay.

At first I was skeptical about getting Rocksmith. I just bought a bass and was told that Rocksmith would be a good way to learn to play. I thought at first Rocksmith was a knockoff Rock Band but when I bought the game I was surprised. Rocksmith helps develop skills while keeping you entertained. It has mini games that feel like you're playing an arcade but you are really developing skills as far as being able to play the correct string or being able to move your hand up and down the frets. I have noticed a difference in my skill level from when I first started to where I am now.

Rocksmith provides an enjoyable way to learn to play guitar. Much better than staring at guitar tabs and trying to figure it out yourself or paying a teacher.
