I was unsure about buying the game at first. Then when it got a discount I jumped for it. Overall the game is really impresive, it "learns" how you play and increases/decreases difficulty as you progress through the songs. Highly recommended for anyone who likes to play or learn how to play guitar.

This is an amazing game. If you have never played real guitar or bass, this will definitely help. Even if you are experienced, like myself, you have an opportunity to learn more songs. And new techniques. There are many different types of mini games that will help you to become an awesome musician.

This game is awesome in learning to play the guitar

A great companion for anyone learning guitar. Lots of guitar technique guides and songs to learn from it: catches your errors and gives you guides based on said mistakes. Sometimes the game does not explain its interface with the detail desired, but still a great companion for anyone who plays or wants to play.

Purchased this item as a gift for my son as he has been wanting to learn to play the guitar. It is very detailed and instructional and have enjoyed watching him learn to play. Step by step visual instructions and you tune your guitar and test it for the song you are going to play. Great product.

So I've been looking at this for now about a year. A few the guys at work all decided to pick up the game so I decided to go ahead and join. Still in the process of learning but it's actually not bad

After being away from playing guitar for 20yrs I found this game to be very helpful in getting me back up to speed. Not only does this game teach you popular songs but it has many lessons and turns learning into arcade games in the Guitarcade feature.

I had the PS3 version and upgraded to the PS4 version. There is audio lag that can't be compensated for on the PS4 like on the PS3, but it works. If you want to play with a real guitar this is your game.

I've been really impressed with how my guitar playing has improved since getting this game. If it doesn't teach you how to play it does teach you how to play popular songs and rhythms that you can tweak and apply to other songs you want to learn.

It has a really bad delay in sound. Everytime you play a different song, you havd to go through the tuning process which gets aggrivating.

Pro: Rock Smith makes learning to play guitar fun; I practice longer than I would without it. Con: It needs more detail on the basics, such as how to hold the neck of a guitar, and where to place your thumb with each type of cord. I would buy again.
