Rocksmith is a great learning 'game'. It was easy to connect my son's guitar. While the program is geared to older kids and adults, my 7 year old has used it and has become a much better guitar player. He has learned more in the short time we have had this 'game' than 1 year of a private tutor.

It's hard to ask for more than a fun game that also teaches you how to play a musical instrument

Great way to learn guitar in a game like format. Challenges you to improve score which improves your guitar playing and retention. Can't wait to play for a hour a day. Downloaded some favorite songs like InAGadaDivda and others

Got my gamer son interested in an actual bass guitar. We both try to out score each other.

It has more patience then a real teacher would have. Really gets you involved. No rushing needed for time. Works at your own pace.

Never played a guitar and wanted to learn. I decided to try and I was not disappointed.

I purchased this for my 14yr old son who wanted a guitar for Christmas. He has been using it almost daily since receiving the guitar/Rocksmith and really seems to like it. It has the ability to set up different profiles so, his brother plans to use the program as well. This is much cheaper and more accessible than lessons.

Once the software is installed and updated, this product really starts to demonstrate what it is all about. Attempted to use this with an Acoustical Electric guitar, but the "game" was not able to get a loud enough read on the strings. Purchased an inexpensive electric guitar to use and had problems. I was ready to throw the software and the guitar into the snow bank but decided to troubleshoot the guitar first. The ground wire was not properly soldered in place which prevented the "game" from recognizing the notes. Soldered the wire and the electric guitar works perfectly with the game. If you experience any problems when starting up with this "game", thoroughly check the guitar with an amplifier to ensure the sound is (1) actually being produced and (2) not distorted. This will help ease frustration and make this a more enjoyable experience.

I really wanted to give Rocksmith 2014 a 5 star review, even with the lag issues. Using headphones, the lag disappears, but using a sound system or hmdi for audio makes this game lag, and makes completing the challenges impossible. Headphones are okay, though. I love the system it uses to teach guitar basics.

Works great because you can plug and play your actual guitar.

bought this as a gift and have to say its pretty cool has huge potential to learn to play guitar well at least learn to play the songs your not going to be Eddie Vanhalen when your done but you will be able to play some songs

I really enjoy the Rocksmith 2014 Edition for Xbox 360

I opened rocksmith with minimum expectations but after a month or so with the game i know a little bit about the game and also about myself, if you want to learn guitar and dont want to hire costly trainers this is the best you can get. It's not easy but it goes with your pace.

Great tool for learning how to play guitar much improved over original would recommend to anyone you wants to play real guitar . Way cheaper and more convenient then a human teacher as well as more patient 5 stars.

My son asked for this game as he is a regular gamer but also a musician and he loves it. He has played it more than any other game he has gotten recently. Also helps with the skills of guitar playing
