Classic movie displayed in the blu Ray format. Doesn't look dated

Film is a must own in your movie collection. Get it.

Rocky may be an older movie but the story is inspiring!

Was a great movie when it came out and still is.That said, after watching it recently it did not have the same impact it had many years ago. Perhaps that's to be expected.

A must see to understand how it all started for Sylvester Stalone and the "yo Adrian" phrase.

By far Stallone's most iconic film. Rocky defined an era and lives on in its popularity.

The movie is a typical meathead, lack of story wonder.

The Italian Stalion, AKA Rocky Balboa, is a nobody at this point in the franchise. Just an ameture boxer who has not so good luck, until Heavywheight Champion, Apollo Creed sees his stats in the local papers, and wants to give an "unknown" an opportunity in the ring. You also get to see how Rocky meets his future wife, Adrien, who at this time, is a shy petshop employee who has low self esteme. A great movie for anyone and an inspiration for those who believe they're not good enough. Bonus features are also good, You get trailers, making of, and commentary from Stallone and Shire. "Yo, Adriene, I did it!"

I like the film "Rocky". Not my choice for Best Picture of 1976. That should've been "Network". But it's a very good, heart-warming film nonetheless. As for this blu-ray disc, it is superb. Several interior scenes that appear too dark in previous formats are clearer and less grainy. The surround sound is brilliant, especially Bill Conti's memorable music score. And the many extras are worth watching. Especially the tribute to Burgess Meredith.

Replacing the original 1997 bare bones dvd release, which ended up being discontinued due to digitial mastering errors, this new special edition gives fans just what they wanted. A great dvd to a great film, lots of good bonus features. Highly recommended!

Bought this to upgrade my dvd version. Beautiful transfer and the sound quality is nice too. If you are still chugging your old dvd, this is a worthwhile upgrade at the price.

Sly played his part so well in this one. A no-name fighter Rocky Balboa gets a challenge from heavyweight champ Apollo Creed.
