I could not believe it when I saw this in the store. I am a fan of the original Death Race 2000 (1975) with David Carradine and Sylvester Stallone. Also the new Death Race movies with Jason Statham and Luke Goss. However, I found the cars not up to par and the racing more of the lines of the Munster's.

I love Roger Corman. This man has brought many great movies, actors, and directors to the screen for decades. Stallone, Carradine, Howard and dozens of others have gotten their start in one fashion or another through this man. Death Race 2050 harkens back to his 1970s smash Death Race 2000. The over-the-top acting, effects, and writing make this a camp classic. Long may Roger continue to make great movies like this.

Fans of the original Death Race 2000 should enjoy this. This is more in the tradition of the original compared to the Paul W.S. Anderson reimagining. Don't expect any Academy Award winning effects or performances, but that's what adds to the appeal. Roger Corman still proves he can crank out a decent, fun flick on a modest budget. Just sit back and enjoy!

This was a pretty good homage to the original show. However, the plot was too little as it was done for a full-blown movie. I enjoyed it, but there were too many times when it slowed down to a crawl in order to either promote some very obvious plot points or stretch it into full movie length.

Going into this you have to realize it is going to be more than a bit campy. The acting was actually pretty good. I can only characterize the vehicles as Tongue-in-check corny. I like sci-fi and I like B movies but the best I can do here is a three. I would recommend with some reservations.

I really liked Death Race 2000 with David Carradine and S. Stallone. This one is entertaining but i dont know it seems more like an update to 2000 rather than a new "movie-race." The cars are updated and most characters however, the plot follows the original almost to the letter:(

This movie is weird and I have not heard the best things about it ahead of time. But you know what?I actually enjoyed it for it's craziness. If you like cheesy, over the top Grindhouse type movies then this one could be for you. It is definitely an acquired taste.

This is the proper Roger Corman Death Race. It is a GRATE Update of the classic Death Race 2000 from the 70's, with a reworked story and bigger budget. I did like how the original unfolded a little better, that's why I give it 4 stars and not 5.

bought because it is the latest in a series of death race films I enjoy the crazy vehicles they build . Just shows how demented society can get tho . even tho it is in the future its sad to say were kinda headed that way !

I watched the re-boots & enjoyed them but... they were a little dark. Rogers' original film was "Camp" all the way, funny in parts & a mirror of society at the same time. This film captures that again & brings it up to date!

A Roger Corman B style movie. Take a look at this if only for the history of movie making. You might enjoy the movie. I found it hard to start with, but in the middle it opened up

Set farther in the future. The premise of the movie is similar to the original. Fun to watch and doesn't take itself to seriously. Plus Frankenstein is still champion.

Vintage 70"s Sci-fi movie. Manu Bennett was good, half man half machine. Fun, crazy and over the top. A true Roger Corman classic Very entertaining.

Even though it took too long in between movies, Im glad Corman finally made a follow up. Best buy had a great price for the blu-ray which was even better.

This is a typical Roger Corman movie. It is set in the future and a little out there. The characters are exaggerated in their look and what they wear.

Everything you'd want from a Death Race sequel. The effects are a bit cheesy but everyone involved is having so much fun it's impossible not to also.

If you've ever seen the original Death Race 2000 and liked it, then this one is sure to please. A "B" flick that doesn't try to raise the grade.

This is a very good remake of the original Roger Corman film from the 1970s with some variations in plot. Picture and sound are clear,

No where near as good as the original Death Race 2000. I say it's just an average movie that's worth a rental or if you can catch it on sale.

Continuing in the crazy comedy of the original! A fun movie if you have seen the original. If not you might want to watch the original after.
