Have rocky 2 and 3 and added 4. 4 is fast and the picture is amazing!

I upgraded to the Roku 4 from my Roku HD and what a difference. It is faster and I love the fact that I can use headphones with the remote.

Great alternative to cable tv. Lots of channels with great content. Very easy setup and learned to navigate system in a short time.

This is much faster than my original Roku streaming stick, and the picture quality is much higher. Regarding the fan noise issue that many original purchasers have reported, I must be one of the lucky ones, because mine is completely quiet. It does get absurdly hot to the touch, even when it's been powered off for a few days at a time.

I have a lg oled set and I really noticed the difference going from the Roku 3 to the Roku 4. The home screen is a lot clearer and of course the hd content is outstanding. It loads the channels pretty fast. I'm really happy with my purchase. By the way, I haven't noticed the noise from the internal fan that other people have had problems with. I can hear the fan when I am really up close to it, but it is not noisy at all.

Started with the Roku stick and my old plasma TV and upgraded to the 4 when I purchased a 4K Samsung TV. No comparison to the stick - menus, speed and search capabilities are great. Even my Wife likes this better than cable (loved to DVR everything) & we frequently now use the on-demand features from our cable provider that we never used to (got rid of my outdated & expensive monthly DVR rental). Very easy to set up. Only challenge at times is a lag with uploading content, but this may be my Wi-Fi service more than the Roku. I have had times where it will freeze & I need to unplug it to get it going again. Two musts with this, given the bandwidth it uses: Upgrade to the best wireless speed available, hardwire the unit to your modem / router or buy a wi-fi repeater and have it, and nothing else, run off of that (if your like me, 8 devices in the house competing for signal). Very cool vocal search feature, just make sure there is no other noise (like kids) around when you use that, the microphone seems to pick up everything. Love the huge amount of content and functionality this provides vs. the standard "smart" TV, traditional cable and my Apple TV.

We purchased this Roku 4 to replace a Roku XS. Wow what an improvement. What can I say it is so much faster and the picture quality is awesome. We are so glad we upgraded.

Purchased the Roku 4 so I could do 4K streaming on a Sony X850A 4K TV that had an H.264 spec. and not a 2.65 spec. The Roku 4 has both and therefore can stream both Netflix, Amazon, and You Tube 4K programs. Thus a simple Roku device makes my super expensive Sony not a boat anchor. Early 4K adaptors of Sony 4K TV's in 2013 all face this issue and up until now had to spend $700 for a device to stream the 2.65 spec. At $149 this did the trick not to mention the voice search feature is excellent.

Absolutely love this product. Kicking myself for not doing this earlier. Great picture and HD on the Roku much better than cable. The cost alone paid for the box the very first month. I still have every channel I had before with full cable and more on the Roku yet I pay a quarter of the amount now. Simple install that a kid can do. Giving my daughters a Roku 4 for their anniversaries. Also have the apps on my phone so can watch what I want while away from home. Great product.

Easy setup. Love the freedom of watching what I want when I want. A lot better than CABLE! Great picture quality.

We reviewed several streaming options and settled on Roku. We don't regret it. It is easy to set up and easy to use. The headphone option is very convenient.

Good product. At times I feel it provides better quality than my Samsung UHD TV apps. Biggest reason for purchasing was for HBO Now which Samsung hasn't included in its apps yet. It does however live up to its reputation of having to reboot more than expected. Causes of the hangups is not known. Complaints of fan noise are pretty much overstated however the unit needs to be well ventilated.

Love them all, just do not like how hot Roku 4 gets, other then that easy to use, and is very easy to set up.

I've never had a roku before didn't know what it was and i just purchased a Samsung 4k smart tv. The Samsung tv didn't have some of the apps I was interested in so I had to add the roku to it. It works great had it for two months now and it's one of my best purchases by far this year. Has sooo many apps including the new sling tv. Highly recommend if you don't have cable tv. Or don't have a smart tv and also if your tv doesn't obtain many apps.

The Roku 4 is a great 4K streaming device. It handles all of the popular services as expected (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, HBO Go) and displays 4K content where available. It can get a bit noisy because of the fan inside, but I keep mine inside a media cabinet and can only hear the fan when the sound is off. I reduced by one star because of apps that occasionally crash, but that may be more of a problem with the app creators than the device itself.

The Roku 4 is a great value for a streaming device, especially for those looking for an UHD/4K content solution. There are a few glitches that can be annoying (HBO Now freezes on occasion and sometimes it doesn't like to wake up), but overall the system is much more stable than the options within my Smart TV. I like the interface and function of the Apple TV better, but the Roku 4 has 4K content and responds quicker most of the time. A dedicated "Sleep" mode that yoiu can activate as a low power/off mode would be nice, but that's a minor complaint.

I have purchased three Roku devices in the past year--Roku Stick, Roku 3 and Roku 4. The Roku 4 is simply the BEST streaming player available today. It takes the GREAT Roku 3 to an entirely new level of performance, and is well worth either upgrading from an older model or adding to one's current system. This Roku device is highly recommended with NO reservations...

I prefer Roku over any other device with the same dedicated purpose. There is however a major flaw, for me at least, that hurts the Roku 4. I am referring to the inclusion of moving parts. It loses the low profile/maintenance feel. Hopefully, in future redesign, they can manage a responsible fan-less design.
