I really like the streaming Roku 4 I have used it at home and on the road. my vudu did not stream because of slower wifi in motel but at home works great on Ethernet would be nice if it had a auto download buffering system so it could start a movie and tell you when it has enough lead on slow networks to start playing. all the channels are great although I mainly use just free channels and my local cable channels. I do enjoy the cam channel but wish they would add live streaming web cams as well. overall it is a nice unit.

This is my second Roku. The first one was easy to get up and running, Roku 4 is just as easy with the new controller. There are some new security pass words you need to input, when pulling up one of your providers which was different from my first Roku. The Roku 4 gives you a sharper, clearer picture and better color, just like an HD picture.

We plan on trying to get rid of our cable at some point and just stream tv service. There are a lot of free options and my 8 year old is in love with the Pokemon channel. We are still getting used to it but over all its good. This is our first streaming device besides the Xbox One which I personally do not use. My husband uses that. The remote finder is awesome, and we have already used it more than once.

Easy to hook up to tv ! Didn't effect quality of picture.. Lot of movies choose from!

The voice search is good and picture quality is great.

Have 590 movies on a external USB laptop HDD and they play flaulessly. And this is the best with Roku 4 setting non use Power Down after 30 min powers down the USB powered Laptop HDD so the HDD is not powered 24/7

Media streaming device works great! Connects to my home wifi with no problems.

My son-in-law told me to get the newest Roku, so I did. I knew nothing about these things, but this is amazing! I asked Customer Service which HDMI cord thing I needed, and they told me, so I ordered that at the same time. Everything came at the same time. It was a simple connection, and I was really surprise, considering I am such an expert. ;-) Just a min or two. It took me longer to sign up for stuff. And there is a bunch of stuff offered! I knew Netflix so I got in on immediately. So much there that I had to check out. I would recommend this version of the Roku to anyone that is trying it out to start off with the first time. Like my son-in-law told me....get the latest one. I don't use the 'talk to it' thing but it is there. NO pixelation problems or breaks in download problems like many other things I have tried. I have 5g service from TWC which is a dream with this thing! SSh. It's a secret! My neighbors don't know obviously!!

This is my first Roku. Very pleased with the menu layout and ease of use. I researched a bit about all the different media streamers and the Roku seemed to be the most versatile. I chose the Roku 4 for the 4K image and it is fantastic. I love the headphone feature. I can plug a set of head phones into the remote and watch a big actin movie with disturbing my wife during her nap.

Picture quality is SUPERB !! Takes 48 hours to completely upload its content. The headphone jack is a good idea but---if you are like me and cant put anything in your ears--its hard to find small enough headphones to fit the bill. When you do, you need to turn the volume to 100%. I already read about this little snag on ROKU's own website. Other than that----BUY THIS BOX !!!

For years I have used media players of all types. Roku 3 looked interesting but there was some traffic about a new Roku. So my old media players with 2Tb HDD were still functional. The only thing Roku has is tons and tons of APS which my older and newer media players were limited. I built a mini I5 Ivy that sits under my Tv never to be turned on again . Roku 4 is that good.

I've been streaming from my pc to my tv for many years and used many devices. This one is actually pretty good. It does everything I need as well as providing me with access to many other streaming sources. It is fast and streams without any stuttering, which is more than i can say about my previous media player cough amazon fire tv cough. All in all, I am very pleased.

The Roku 4 is basically the same as the Roku3. It has the same interface, but it is much quicker due to the upgraded processor. The unit does get pretty warm, but I haven't heard any noticeable noise like many of the reviewers. Is it worth getting? Only if you have an 4K TV, otherwise I'd just wait as content is limited to Netflix, Amazon,Hulu, Youtube and a few others.

I've loved the Roku 4 box since I got it working. It's so easy, even my almost-3 year old can turn on her favorite shows without help (much to my chagrin!) It has ALMOST every streaming app that you can get on your mobile phone (but not ALL) and it does a great job of displaying things in Hi Def. It has 4K capability but I don't have a 4K TV yet. It's a great box for those who don't have a TiVo or HD DVR through one of the cable or satellite companies. It's easily transportable so you can theoretically take it with you when you travel and have it work in hotels, etc. The remote is easy-to-use (and easy to lose) but it has a remote-finder feature and you can use the Roku app on your smartphone to operate it if for some reason you can't find it. It's a great streaming box & well worth the $$, in my opinion.

I upgraded from a Roku 2 - the speed and picture quality are great (haven't tried 4k yet). Very friendly user interface and the remote has cool features like a headphone jack and voice search.

Got this for a friend since she didn't know how to set it up. The hardest part was getting the account set up on Roku. Once we got that done, the actual set up of the Roku was simple tho I'd like to have been able to use tablet, phone or ipad to make the typing easier. Using the remote was awkward compared to a keyboard. Once set up, everything worked fine.

The Roku 4 has a very easy interface and wonderful picture. I was disappointed when I connected it to my new 4K Samsung TV. Apparently the TV, which I bought a couple months ago, does not support HDCP 2.2 (high definition copy protection), so the Roku will not display content in 4K resolution.

Overall I like this unit. It is fast and has a great picture. The issue I have is that it overheats. I currently have mine propped up so it can get air on all sides. Even in this position the unit will occasionally overheat and lock up. A reboot usually fixes it, but it is frustrating.
